Where does this place exist?
A place with good snow and mountains, but no ski resort of any type, but somewhat accessible to a town/community? I'm sure these places exist, places like in the Sawtooths...but I want to survey our online community and see where folks think these places exist?
I know this sounds a little random, but there's an idea behind this inquiry. More to come!

250” with no rain and a 1,500’ vert hill served by t-bars and pomas, would be fine by me

Valdez seemed fun for a tourist and a three week period to Tour.... but living there and having helis buzz around while you climb up the faces seemed like a thing to consider.
It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.

If you have a sled or tracked SxS or snowcat, pretty much anywhere along the Idaho/Montana border.

So we're looking for a list of towns in the mountains that don't have ski resorts in them? Would it be more useful for the list to be alphabetized or categorized by latitude/longitude?
