Top 10 is a bloodbath this week and I love it. I still think Georgia is the best team in the nation. tOSU or UT are likely second. Oregon fourth?

Regardless, good times!!! I love college football.

    2024 College Football Thread

Next weekend is sizing up to be all time in Eugene. Autzen will be rocking. I’m tempted to fly to the homeland to see it. It’s unfortunate that with the 12 team playoff all these upsets mean less than they traditionally would’ve. The beauty of cfb was always the need to stay undefeated or close to it. It’s what made cfb more interesting week after week than all other American sports. The Ducks kicking a 50 yd FG gives me hope for their future big game prospects.

too soon to say if texas can stay on top thru the sec but really didnt expect bama, georgia and tennesse to trip all over themselves and make it easier on them.

I like our chances…watching this weekend’s blunders was like Xmas morning for a longhorn fan. Even if they don’t win out, greatly increases odds of a SEC champ game invite. But Texas has a history of finding a way to loose.

I am psyched for this weekend because we’ll find out what Oregon actually is. The only semi consistent is the their defense..this appears to be the best Oregon defense I can remember. Run defense is pretty good, pass rush is crazy, secondary has been close to flawless.

The offense has been…inconsistent at best. Pass play has been really good, then fell off a cliff just as the run game and O line absolutely took off against MSU. Jordan James is an absolute unit and when he’s getting any sort of support, he’s going to get his. There are some phenomenal athletes on this team but they simply haven’t all been firing at the same time.

If all areas play at their best, we can beat tOSU. If they remain whackamole, we lose. They’ve looked more polished every game but it has to really happen this weekend.

From what I understand, the Buckeyes look really good but also haven’t really been tested yet. Should be a great game at Autzen. Can’t wait to hear how loud it is!

Gonna be crazy at Autzen with a real heavyweight coming to town. Gabriel showing some signs why Oklahoma might not have been all in for this season.
Coaching staff really simplified the passing game after 3 red zone picks in 2 games.

Hope you were in Autzen reverend. The zoo looked to be in full force. My blood pressure went into overdrive. Hell of a win, especially without Burch and Boettcher seemed to be out the whole second half. That first drive int that wasn’t reviewed was bs. But the Ducks showed some resilience and toughness that they lacked in the Chip years. The recruiting under Lanning is showing. This is a really good team. Gabriel still needs to become more consistent. Stewart and James are studs. If this team could get fully healthy they look nasty. Big10 now knows how hard it is to come into Autzen, might be smaller than almost every other big10 stadium but unrivaled in noise. Fans won that game, the fuckeyes were totally discombobulated at times due to the Autzen zoo. So wish I was at Remys or the Cooler right now. Go Ducks!

will be interesting to see where ohio state goes in the polls, they lost the game by seconds. if the ohio state qb doesn’t slide, just stops; pops up and call time; they maybe kick the fg and win.

So Oregon has wins against 2 top 20 teams and Texas’ biggest win is against a Michigan team that can’t complete a forward pass and was totally overrated to begin the season. Bama jumped to #1 after beating Georgia but Oregon doesn’t get the same treatment after beating the fuckeyes. I’d put money on the dawgs taking down Texas next weekend.

^^^ Completely agree. SEC bias is a thing - and UT is now on the inside of all that

Receipts noted; will discuss after next week come what may. Georgia is a good team, but seemed like they struggled a bit with Miss St this week? I can easily see the game going either way. Fingers crossed that Isiah Bond is back to 100%.
