I probably won’t be able to make the 20th. End of Feb-1st week of March are busy for me. Don’t change it on my account though.

On my calendar, should be able to pull away from work for at least a few laps.

Yesterday was sunny with soft cut up snow and some leftovers here and there. Good day for a couple Mirkwood laps. Saw whipski in the lift line, but he was heading for lunch not a Mirkwood hike. Headed back up today for a short tour off the pass, and then to the ski area to checkout the backcountry demo day, whatever that’s all about.

See some of you on the 20th!

The Upper Lot now has heated bathrooms. Short hike to slope. I'll bring a firepan and grill if we wanted to grill out. If you're there before 9 usu front row parking. The 19th is Presidents day so the resort will get hammered the day prior FWIW.

Oh man I feel bad, but I can't come on the 20th. I got a dentist appt that day and she only comes over here once a month from Summit.

That was 10 years ago when I was spending summers in San Diego. Like an elephant!

I misspoke, she comes once a week from summit, but I would have to wait another month for a different appt.

I'm considering bailing/rescheduling my dentist appt. I never regret skiing with maggots.

I think shera, being the finest version of all of us degenerates, should pick whatever day. Then we will be mandated to attend. I can do any day in Feb.

Kind gesture, but no more wrangling on dates, herding cats. I'm considering rescheduling my appt, leaning that way.

Pretty busy over the weekend, the right-side-up storm delivered enough to undo a week+ worth of high pressure, sunshine, and warm temps. Sunday was better than Saturday, fewer people (still busy) and better snow. My only ragert is not hiking up to Mirkwood earlier than what we did, by the time we got up there and skied Lodgeview around noon the snow had gotten a bit heavy with the southern exposure. Still fun and found plenty of untracked shots, but not as light as earlier in the day. The next week or so looks like good maintenance weather, with consistent 1-4" nearly every day. I'll do a snow dance for a lift-closing blizzard on President's Day Weekend.
