    WTF?
    Wrong thread.
I work with a guy that says "Heard" after everything that he apparently agrees with. I might punch his stupid face soon. Luckily, I am an outside sales rep, so I don't have to be near these people unless I make it happen. He does not type it out in emails thankfully. Although that would actually be hilarious. True commitment to his craft.

Was he a line cook or sous chef at some point? “Heard chef” is standard in kitchens.

“Heard” become popular because of the (very good) show The Bear about a chef. My young son will yell it to me and it cracks me up because (a) I like knowing he heard my request for what I need him to do, and (b) he has no fucking clue what it means or where it’s from.

Now if you want something even more cringeworthy than Tom Brady using LFG in a Hertz rental car commercial, then notice how “AF” has worked its way into every ad targeting Zillenials like “Hey new tired AF mom, you should try this completely overpriced baby food delivery app that ships processed shit to your doorstep at 3x the cost of food bought at Whole Foods a mile away. It will give you and all the other tired AF moms out there more free time to scroll your socials for the latest Stanley Cups colorways”
I still call it The Jake.

    That it is.

I watched a video where a scientist was discussing human space travel. If we were to ever colonize a planet outside of our solar system it would have to be a multigenerational trip.
He was saying that after multi generations of space travel it was likely that due to isolation we would not be able to understand each other when communications were restored upon their arrival.

    Back to the OP’s observation…

Interesting to me that both the French and Spanish use an emphatic form of “we go” which is pretty much the equivalent of LFG.

But, they don’t all of a sudden act as if it’s newly minted because they see it on a TikTok.

Watch some tennis. Lots of Allez and Vamos.

    Bike racing?

Also a lot of allez and vamos.

I haven’t spent a lot of time on the continent recently, but I imagine a good game of bocce could get a “vamos!”

    Boujie? Should it be bourge-ie?

Life’s more fun with the occasional Marxism.

My favorite part is that it’s both compliment and insult depending on context and tone.

Hard to believe we needed an easier version of tennis.

Bougie is the stupidest thing kids are saying. They’re clueless about what bourgeois means. They’re describing themselves, privileged middle class kids.
