    Sanctuary - Sumo

    Interesting series currently on Netflix...

Gobbled up the eight episodes of the first season. Hoping there will be more. This is useful for those like me who are new to Sumo.

Poking around also came across this Georgian who was pretty successful and had a bit of a unique style.

The past is a foreign country; they do things differently there.

Got into Sumo during while i was living there during the Chiyonofuji and Konoshiki era and it may be the funnest spectator sport I’ve ever attended. It’s fantastic looking forward to checking out this series

    Impressive!

Size, strength, quickness, agility, technique, tactics, heart and mind - all those variables (and probably more) in play. It is fascinating to watch how the different competitors match up.

    And very entertaining!

Did the series talk about the rampant cheating?

It's like any other pro sport. If your not cheating your not trying.
