    Inbounds ski carry for groms

Hey all, the 10 year old is more willing and able to do some inbounds hikes this year. In the past I usually just strapped my skis to my pack and shouldered his skis, but was wondering if anybody had any better ideas to help him carry his own skis. I wouldn't want him skiing with a pack all the time so just for occasional use.

That could work. Was thinking something like that or the Highlands patrol straps, just not sure if a kid would tolerate where the skis are kind of hitting him in the back with no pads or anything like that.

Not a problem if you dress your groms properly.

There is only one way to find out.

You’ll look like a magician pulling patrol straps out. Practice on the walk from car to lift.

    Kids made of rubber tho.

My 10YO hiked a ton with his skis last year. Get a couple of friends to go with you. Peer pressure is great.

Check the pic under Go Hands Free. Not sure if they're still sold in stores but I saw people with these from time to time. Looks comfier than getting jabbed in the back by skis/brakes/bindings.
