Tahoe boys blew my mind with reports of $20 beers and $20 burgers at the lodge!
up here at 49N
$6.50 pints
$15 stripped-down burger
what's the price at your favorite mountain?
(asking for a friend)

I quit. the $8 pints at the Elk and the crowds and the :local" snobs killed it for me.

The $20 beers is more of a Vail thing so heavenly northstar and it's usually like a 22oz or so. There's many cheaper resorts for beer but I don't know any good on mountain burgers regardless of price.
powdork.com - new and improved, with 20% more dork.
Pepporonis is where its at. $20 in the tip jar gets me what I need. Usually, 2 slices and 2 mugs of beer. It funny, I've been in the Club Car probably 10 times in my life. My crowd, even the kids, hang out in the basement going in and out through the back door.
I think a Banquet Draft is about $8 elsewhere and soup/sandwich/chilli starts around $14. You can get a Burito and Cafe in the Jane Cafateria for $10 early which is a pretty good deal for people driving up from the city for first chair....I've probably said too much.
I don't believe it. $20 beers?
Need some evidence.
That sounds pretty reasonable, not just for a resort but period. Granted, I would be surprised jf the burger is much past concessions stand quality, but you're likely hard pressed to find a decent burger and beer for $20 in any major (and maybe even mid sized) city these days. Resorts have always had "captive audience" pricing.
When I lived in Tahoe City (10+ years ago, damn im getting old) a few restaurant/bars did $1 shift PBR/High life you just had to ask.
I like to grill and drink beer in the parking lot.
Can't think of anything that would ruin my ski day quicker than filling up on a burger and a beer at lunch, regardless of price. Deer jerky and string cheese gets me through the day just fine.
Tonight for dinner though I got the best dinner deal in Big Sky, $7 three piece chicken dinner at the Riverhouse BBQ. Comes with beans, cole slaw, corn, and cornbread. Can't even believe such a deal still exists in a ski town. Good food too!
beers at the car are cheaper than beers at the bar.....
fact.
Years (and years) ago on the Killington access Rd at Casey's Caboose they had free chicken wings and cheap beer and a 2 buck , hangover inducing Goombay Smash (rum 80 and 150 proof) every weekend for happy hour, which was actually 2 hours of madness. We got pretty f'n happy
I still don't understand how our crew made it home every Saturday. For a while all the bars started offering all kinds of free and cheap food to complete . Compete for what is anyone's guess. It was a race to the bottom 🙄
On the other side of the coin - those skinny ass skis
Bought a round of $7 Plinys yesterday at Mt Rose (pass holder discount). Food is generally meh, but the b-fast burrito is a decent deal at $11.

Pepperoni rolls and home brew.
watch out for snakes
My metric at a resort owned restaurant is big city pricing. $8 beers and $15 burgers are fine.
Pack a Sammy. And buy a beer at the bottom if they still have dirtbag eats. But the skid bars at the base area are disappearing. If you drive, just pack a few cold ones in the car.
But can I rant here about craft beer four pack pricing? Wtf. It’s beer. Tasty. But just beer.

But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason
20 Dollar burgers doesn't Sound too insane in Switzerland where a bigger lone Burger at McDonalds is north of 12chf ( 15 Dollars?).
20 Dollar beer though.....
It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.
Sugarbush upped their beer prices from about $8-9 to $11-12 while burgers/sammies are $16-18. I made a comment to my wife that very soon a beer will be $20 with a modest tip. At least they still have $6 PBR cans.
$10.10 for a 20 oz hyped up hazy IPA at Arapahoe Basin yesterday. Probably the first and last for me this season but a friend wanted to go inside which I rarely do. I'm more of a parking lot Coors and a grill kinda guy. Tap the rockies my friends.
Considered some tots as a snack. They were $15! WTF?!?!
It's more fun to make your own food just the way you like it and not feel like you are getting raped. I have the money to eat wherever I want but there is no value in paying huge prices for simple things. Plus, if you are grilling and having a few cold ones in the lot bring some extra to share.
P'tit Caribou at Mt Tremblant.
This was a decade back, but my broke ass buddy and I went since we found these coupons to use there. 10$ for a pound of wings and a pint. Ordered and the waitress said "It's happy hour, it's actually cheaper than that with out the coupon"!
What a wild place. Went back every day of our trip there. You could walk in with a few small bills and pocket change and leave pretty loaded.
Monarch
Burrito and a beer $20
Burger $17 think 12 oz can of domestic macro is &6
huge pile of nachos with meat $21 feeds 4
I like the cup of red chile comes with tort $7
and 10% of with season pass
I usually eat in the car or on the lift and chuck the tennis ball for the pups
all the pros know to bring your own food and beverages ....
I should have asked what the prices are at your mountain,
my bad

Big Sky Montana Jack: 20$ for a bacon BBQ burger w fries. Honestly, it was more than solid. Big, well cooked, solid. I was impressed.
I like the Rocker burgers. Not sure that qualifies as "on mountain." I'm sure it's $20+ dollars. $20 for a margarita and bloody mary at SB these days. We did the math and figure we could make a Sprinter payment if we stopped eating/drinking in the lodges. My kids would miss the shitty chicken nuggets.
