The BC122 sounds fucking fun. I was thinking I needed a C138... but realistically the BC122 is more useful 95% of the time. The 183cm is a bit small for me personally though.

Hey man! I honestly hadn't really thought about it lately, as last I heard a few years ago, the cost was WAAAYYYYYY outside my ability to pay. But I do plan to mount my personal pair with a set of Tyrolia Attack demos that Altacoup hooked me up with, and live right at the bottom of LCC, (as I think you know?), and always down to loan them out.
Going to save up a few grand to buy a whole Heritage Labs quiver next season this is exactly what I need right now.
This is amazing! I've been lusting to own the HB's again as they would be the perfect ski for Austrian stormday 2' shmooo, I've taken to calling Cheesecake. I had a couple days on the OG at Sugarbowl in 2-3' of Sierra cement and they ruled. I also had a 700" utah season in college on these as my first rockered ski, yum.
Would the timing for the Heavy 183 be next season?
Thanks for including ob-scene graphics. Keeps the heart young...
I finally got my pair and these look absolute money, slightly more supportive flex than the old HB and with a much improved construction, I’m overly excited to get out on these soon.
Marshal what’s your preferred mount point? I can normally go a bit back on the freestyle skis and forward on directional skis
Are there still 189s left for this year?
Sounds good, thanks! Late to the party.
Something ... something ... pow skis
These things rule. Never been on something that combines this amount of surfiness with how supportive they are. Quite a fun ride
The swallowtail speculation ended up aging quite well too![]()

Three fundamentals of every extreme skier, total disregard for personal saftey, amphetamines, and lots and lots of malt liquor......-jack handy
Got the chance to chase MO around Snowbird on a pair of the longer HB122s last week... super fun ski. Pivoty and slashy, intuitive and easy to ski for my style. MO lead me through a few shots that were hecka tight and the longer planks still worked. Surprisingly more stable on hardpack than I would have expected, just roll it up on edge and it'll hook up. Had about 6-8" of fresh and we found some untracked to slay, which they absolutely and unsurprisingly did. They really shine in deeper chop, lots of support and easy to drive. Stoked to be on my own pair this fall, even changed my pre-order from the "179" to the "189" size. Now just need to convince MO to have some of these pressed in the carbon construction...
I got on the HB demos after you guys and agree with all the fresh snow comments. I went on Thursday and most of the powder at Snowbird was skied off but I still found some nice deep stashes from the Baldy hike. Never felt the length in trees and could pivot on a dime in all conditions. Marshall set me up at -6.5 mount which felt perfect for me - I could drive the shovels but also pivot and slash from a balanced stance. Bottom of the mountain was refrozen with a firm base under a little fresh snow and visibility was near zero due to fog. I liked the flex and profile of the HB at the top of the mountain but it was not a ski that could just charge blind through a firm mogul field and absorb everything. On edge was ok but I felt the width when digging in on steeps and they were a bit bouncy on runs like Backasswards and Chips that are “groomed” but chopped up and refrozen from a lot of traffic. To be fair, Marshall warned me that it was probably not the right day for these skis before I borrowed them and no ski can fix bad visibility. Still had a lot of fun.
Size and weight for you guys?
I think everyone commenting above is around 200lbs-ish.
