I spend more time in GLASS Vuarnet glasses than goggles with the helmet. Unless it's below 15F or dumping snow or rain I wear shades instead of goggles. Snow guns? ya goggles and a ski gee..

And WFT's up with the gigantic visor looking goggles? LAME! Full face helmet FTW?

i'm up in the air about helmet or not

they sure are nice on a storm day

way better peripheral vision without it

love the baseball hat on spring days

I have taken a few good whacks while wearing one... but, cutting back on the speed since those days feels real safe to go helmetless too

    McGoverning.

There’s a thread about being under thirty.

I wonder how many youth know what McGoverning means.

    God bless you, Shane.

Because this thread can't get any worse...

You didn't say if you were touring or not. Nobody wears a helmet while touring anyways.

Back in the day (when I used to spend all day bashing bumps), I used to always wear sungasses (and no helmet), whenever I could get away with it (i.e. unless it was storming).

These days I ski ton of trees (pretty much every day unless conditions are horrendous). No way am I going into the trees without goggles (prefer not to impale my eye on a branch) and a helmet. And the helmet's not just for the case of colliding with a tree. Instead, along with ski poles, it's my branch-bashing strategy (the top of my helmet is all kinds of scratched up).

A-Basin beach days: often no helmet, cuz...it's nice. But the choice thing is the whole dumb part of this thread, so never mind.

May be quote of the year!

Not skiing but, at a Megadeth show yrs back(oakland coliseum)I got to drunk and kept smashing my face in the back of peoples heads.
....maybe a helmet would be good in the mosh pit when that drunk!

On another Mosh pit note...my buddy got hit in the face by a person with a helmet cam at a different mosh pit (Violence)at a bay area show hadda go to the ER that night & ended up not to bad off. That live video is still around...if you look hard enough

The slapshot helmet comments were rad. Lots of love for Donny in my house.

Still want a paddling helmet for skiing. Especially with a visor. One of the teen freeride coaches is now skiing with one on warmer days at the hill.
