    RIPower Shane McGaowan!

Yeah, we have seen it coming for decades but still a huge loss.

the late 80s for me are Powder Magazine and Rum Sodomy and the Lash CD on the stereo
when I lived in Glasgow in the 90s, I met our apartment neighbors once in a barr and they said " oh your the ones that listen to the Pogues all the time "
staple of multiple pubs in SLC & NYC in this century

remember seeing him on walls of pubs in Manhattan, Dublin & SF with the likes of Joyce, Becket & Yeats and it always brought a smile

Thanks for all the tunes & crooked smiles SHane.

Wherever you are these holidays go to the local and put on Fairytale of NY twice and listen to people sing...

RIP. There's so many songs. He was a poet but didn't write these words, but he owned them.

I never knew how highly he was regarded by other musicians. The tributes have been amazing. He really is a testament to the power of music.

Surprised his funeral hasn't been posted in any of these RIP threads. Lotsa music was played if you look for the whole thing. Looked absolutely epic.
