I loved the read because you were right behind me. I left Bozeman after Uni in December 2002, moved to Tahoe. I also know some of the mags you skied with IRL. Maybe more, but I don't know everyone's avatar. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to learn that we skied together.

You had better luck with the girls, though.

    Awesome story. Thanks for that.

This is definitely hall of fame worthy.

Is it better if it gets put in the official hall of fame forum? I sometimes wonder if that place serves its purpose.

    And if yes, when?

Hey mod. Don’t move it. Yet.

That’s why I suggested a sticky for this ski season.

It’s a wayyy better read than meet the maggots.

But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers

Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

Ha! I have a yellow lab now with a similar disposition as P-Tex. I gave him the same warning, and that idiot didn't listen, again. I'm pretty sure I'll find out he was eaten by a dog someday.

Great read...thanks for sharing. I'm hiding in the back of that photo somewhere. Amazing how many names immediately popped into my head looking at that. Awesome memory of easys truck in the Alta lot, having a beer after a killer day thanks to Pinner and a cooler in the back of the old Nissan

That and me not being aware that dogs weren't allowed. I just blindly took him everywhere and no one said a thing.

Well holy shit I got a letter today from a dude I do not know with $50 cash. Thanks to Armchair Extreme. I’ve been posting my whereabouts and happenings on the Powmag website since I started. So all these guys start responding, wanting to help out. I get all these requests for an address so I post the PO Box and people that don’t even know me are sending me cash. I am humbled and amazed. I had no idea people like this still exist. They are sending it, expecting nothing in return, wanting nothing more than for me to continue on my trip.

I got a pile of strangers that will help if I just get to where they are. The trip continues.

One last thing from the forum today, the new mantra for my trip posted on the powmag forum by Reverend Floater

“Snow is holy water, face shots are communion, the wind is your preacher, and lord knows that the mountains is the best church ever built!"
Sure miss ACE & glad the Rev is still around to bless us all.
    Nice action.

    Good one, thanks for bumping.
Lots of "wayward" journeys on here.
I have an uncle that still says "are you still a ski bum" every christmas. Yes, I am, with a house and a business and the real world crap, thank you very much. Oh, and ski every day too, uncle.

What you "have" doesn't make you who you are. A ski bum is a ski bum. Lots of really good fine upstanding ski bums out there.

Nice to see this on my first visit to TGR in a few years, so good to revisit the early times.
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!
