I suppose for me a recent sign among the plethora of maladies already suggested is the recent complete failure of both of my old (1995 and 2000) Rt & Lt ACL reconstructions. Get to check out new procedures and practices, yippee! I'm thinking that physio will be similar at least.

What does complete failure mean? Like you reinjured and severed them? Or they just decided to phone in their performance and take the day off? Bummer tho man.

Me too and here I thought I was just being a wuss after a backwards fall I took 8 months ago when I missed a step off a small wall and concussed myself.

I had the universe tell me that going up on the fairly steep roof was no longer a good idea. about 5 years ago I learned that walking around up there patching small leaks to try to extend the life of an 18 year old roof made things worse, not better.. i.e. current leak patched but new ones popped up where I had been walking around as the shingles I walked on had nails rattling loose under the.
Also bit the bullet and got the gutters covered last time we did the roof.. There's a power line drop on the other side that's really hard to work around cleaning the gutters out. It was downright frightening to me to be using an aluminum ladder and standing between the power lines running along the side of the house to the middle meter connection and gutter. Not going up there again..

Wife bought me one of those projector holiday lights things but it just isn't the same vibe I like. I don't go up that high to do this though..

If you use the allograft, the recovery is much easier than the 90s ACL repairs. Still no fun, though.

Hopefully will see my Ortho within a month to see if a replacement is required for the other (given the additional issues). Not bitter in the least given the lifetime of abuse (football, skiing, tennis, boneheadism) I bestowed upon my knees. Surprised actually that they lasted this long.

I had to dig out a rotten fence post yesterday and somehow managed to not injure my back, so I must not be THAT old yet.

Hopefully will see my Ortho within a month to see if a replacement is required for the other (given the additional issues). Not bitter in the least given the lifetime of abuse (football, skiing, tennis, boneheadism) I bestowed upon my knees. Surprised actually that they lasted this long.

Replacement is WAY better than a repair, IMO. And like 1/3 of the recovery time (at least was for me to get back to real mountain biking). I had both ACL’s repaired, and then one replacement. Probably will need the second one eventually as well.

Yeah, I had one and couldn't lift my arm above chest height. Freaked me the f out. I could lift it higher with my other arm, so I knew could go, but it didn’t on its own. Sleeping was hell. I didn't want to go. I almost became an alcoholic just to get to sleep. I cannot say enough good things about my time with the upper cervical chiro doc. It takes a lot of time and effort to train your muscles and ligaments to hold your head on straight, but it happens. It's an ongoing process as every mtn bike crash, ski tumble, or just hitting your head can knock it out of whack slightly.

So did you go the Chiropractic route, or an MD specialist? I am in PT right now. It is slowly getting better, but on and off numbness in my left arm is freaking me out. Trying to get some images on this thing and see wtf is up. Thankfully, as you know, this time of year is a bit dead for our industry. Just tons of take offs, so trying to avoid hunching over a computer. That's what got me here in the first place.
