Now, 40 year old straight skis and scratched up goggles, naw, I might rock that for a few runs for laughs but not all day hahaha..
maybe 15yrs ago the local old farts were rocking old skis mostly cuz the old fart at the ski shop told them they don't need them new modern skis cuz he didnt have any

so they would say " my skis are fine " to which I reply " yer wife is fine too but wouldn't you like to try a super model ? " nobody ever said No my wife is fine they would just smile a dirty smile and now they all have more modern skis

    Injuries are indicators of aging.

The first time you are afraid of getting injured not because of the pain, but because of the downtime. (teens)
The first time you are afraid of getting injured because of how inconvenient it will make normal life over the next couple months of recovery. (20's - 30's)
The first time you are afraid of getting injured because of the long term accumulated effects of the injuries harming your ability to be active as you get older. (30's - 50's)
The first time you are afraid of getting injured because youre not sure you will actually recover and it may end your physical activity. (60's - 80's)

Agree but closer to 20 years ago than 15. By about 2004 the only people still rocking straight skis were one day a year wonders over Christmas Break. Anybody who actually skied regularly knew how much better sharped skis were/are by 2003 or 20034. at least that's what I remember..

The millionth time when you are afraid of getting injured because you are still dealing with the lasting effects of prior injuries and it's beyond annoying trying to just get some god damn sleep.

I hated and still hate shaped skis.
I raced at the divisional and national level sl and gs late 60/early 70s.

I'm still rocking skis with a gs/straight sidecut.

But I've only been doing 60-70 days a year.

Knock yourself out.. I can ski either tech pretty well. But, given the choice I'm going with the one I don't have to hop around on and pick up a foot to turn tightly. You do you LOL

Did you check Youtube? and is your network 2.4 GB?

Doesn't look that hard but still, wtf. Not for this guy. Switches and dimmers have gotten me this far.

Feit used to make some kick-ass incandescent bulbs in the day, they lasted forever.

I’ve actually tried to be nicer and more charming to people in person. I don’t want to be the old angry guy.
