Saw my first one in a supermarket in JP today in a handicap restroom. A standing toilet for #2. It also had a removable faucet for "washing."

"Oh wow. That's a toilet for people that can't stand up after they sit down."

I know I'm getting older because I knew why it existed. And it was actually a pretty impressive unit. Couldn't believe I'd never seen one before.

I’ve noticed my mornings can sometimes revolve around shitting. Leaving the house for any reason if I haven’t had a real good #2 is now a difficult task to comprehend. Thankfully my pipes are pretty good so I can leave the house most days.

I don’t think I’m more pure splitting rounds by hand, I enjoy it more. Of course I’m relatively young at 55

personly I enjoyed running the wood splitter more

I always wonder if people bought into that add on TV for an investment firm where some old fart catches a trout, splits wood and sits in a rocker reading the newspaper in a rustic setting obviously very well off when his chauffeur comes in and sez " sir your new york call is ready "

Watching a 2012 South Park where Stan buys a dying blockbuster rental.
    Ten years? Wow.
They also spoofed the death of Redbox

But I have a box of ski dvds!!

I still put them on for stoke background fun.

I also have classic movies I still rewatch. Damn.

Have not purchased a new ski/board clothing kit in a decade plus while raising a kiddo. I’ve been fortunate enough to get decent used stuff from other mags here and it’s been much appreciated when your hand me downs keep me warm and dry.

I’m turning 50 this summer and I’m finally going to get a brand new Gortex kit that fits me properly. I’ll have it for a long time so I’m finally justifying this portion my fiscal mind. That’s old shit right there.

The real I’m old flex is to still wear your kit from when you were at your prime. Nothing says I’m old then the dude in the lift line dude still rocking his Schmidt Steep Tech one piece.

So, this summer some of the “kids” I work with (they’re all in their early twenties) invited me to a house warming party. One of my colleagues is wearing a Rolling Stones Steel Wheels tour t-shirt.
I get all excited and before thinking blurt out “Holy shit, I was at the Oakland show in 1989, 10th row, Living Colour opened. We snuck in jugs of vodka and Sunny D.”
Kid looks at me and says “it’s my Dad’s shirt. I wasn’t even born yet.”
Upside is that they all enjoyed my story about how I almost got beat up by the guy in front of me and dropped the ball on hooking up with the hot woman in the next row.

But to realize that the shirt the kid was wearing is older than him was a bit of a mindfuck…

Also, at least the kid was wearing a legit, vintage shirt and not some Hot Topic reprint.

You’re also old when you don’t give one fuck what anyone else thinks anymore and go rock that glorious one piece like George fucking Santos.

I’ve lost all caring about what others think of me or what someone may think of what I’m wearing.
    It’s glorious and liberating.

I’m with you on not giving a fuck these days but dang I seem to have zero tolerance for sub standard gear/ bad fitting clothes etc. everything needs to be dialled. Not compromises. It’s an expensive attitude!

If I was happy with the gear ten years ago and it is still performing as well as it did then I'm likely to keep using it until it no longer performs at the level it is intended to. It makes me sad to see people sending perfectly good gear to the landfill so they can be seen rocking the late$t and fla$hie$t that is only slightly different (maybe a little better?) than what they had..

Now, 40 year old straight skis and scratched up goggles, naw, I might rock that for a few runs for laughs but not all day hahaha..

Went to a mobility seminar last evening, mostly old fkrs.

    Time well spent.

    The stretches had instant results.
