    bump this up!

and props to josh fox - who nailed the forecast on this storm 10 days out, and in spite of the gaudy snow totals (1 ft to 30") which sounded bat-shit crazy at the time.

MRG reported 30" with the last inch falling yesterday evening.

may make it to mad this season after all.

Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and again.

On another note, skiing with Mags is fun. Fussy D and I ran into The Rudeness at Smuggs on this glorious day to take advantage of yesterday’s wind holds. FD & I had to get back to work and left at noon but not before enjoying plenty of pow and taking a lap out back.

    Rudie can’t fail.

Non-mag, Ryan, took one for the team when he was blindsided by another party on our first run leaving him unable to continue riding. ☹️. Fuck hit and run skiers and riders.

Yesterday at k was the best day of the year. That might not be saying much for this year though!

Skiied bell to 1500... excellent with plenty of demand faceshots and tree skiing until my legs were dangerously tired.

^ It was pretty fucking awesome today also. No action shots but bluebird skies, snow that was somehow Colorado dry, and short lift lines. Smoked by 2:30.

And fuck this guy. If I skied as poorly as he does, I would not call attention to myself. And that getup smells like ass.

Saw that clown skiing down to Bear, and he decided to blow the horn under the lift. Certainly felt like Co. dry up high. Name: 20240312_115141.jpeg

Been lurking this season, skiing XC and with the kids. But called off work and really tried to make the most of this storm

Sunday - Morin Heights - ultra wet snow and the power went out

Monday - Sutton storm day, best day of the season for me

Tuesday - Smuggs after the wind hold - amazing day. Thanks to ml242 for hooking me up with FD and Peruvian! Cooked.

    apologies for iPhone zoom

BluBird K Day (babylon)- still 8" to 10" of forgiving no squeak cream cheese in the aprons till closing.

Pick the wrong aspect - wind effected chaulk or scoured base.

    Thinner on the all naturAL

My first visit to Stratton. Super sticky but still fun. I would rank in my least favorite mountain in that area. Click image for larger version.

East Coast Roll Call 23/24_The Guns Are Blowing

Worse than Mt Snow? Worse than Okemo? Worse than Bromley?
Yeah, I got out for lunch laps, if you tried skiing anything ungroomed today, you were fucked. Sticky shit

No, it’s a decent hill, no more no less. Just curious is all, I think it’s better than the three places I mentioned

Probably unfair to judge based on one manky day. I’ve never skied Okemo. Mt Snow sucks. I’ve only had good conditions at Magic and Bromley.
