Initiate sex everytime a jake brake wakes you via the open window. No exceptions. Like Pavlov's dog, she will either be into it, or will shut the window.

Initiate does not equal consumate. My wife gets annoyed at how many times I try to initiate. The closure rate has gone down with age.

Just the thought of 'cat box' inside a home makes me get stuffy.

-How old are your pillows/bed/comforter? Could be the dust mites and cat dander you know. Suggest getting her blood work done to seek for current sensitivity possibilities. A 2-y/o pillow is one year past its expiration date, riddled with allergens. It is written that some guys hold on to pillows for way longer than they should. I can attest to this after one of my exes refused to throw away his yellow-faded, stained pillow from childhood. Gross. Toss 'em!

-As others are alluding to, the temp regulation thing is only going to get worse. This is fact for 99.9% of women. And it often hits them years before they even put 2 and 2 together. The denial anything is happening is real.

-You can throw all kinds of money at it but really, outside of a separate bedrooms, this problem is likely to persist. Fussy sleepers don't make great long-term partners as you both lose sleep and get crankier and crankier *unless* one of you gives in to a major compromise. So you with earplugs or her with the window closed. If your relationship isn't rock solid, the resentment could creep in.

Hold up. This place was yours already and she's the newcomer to the scene, right? If so, if I were you, I'd probably like:

I'm house sitting for a friend right now and they have one of these. It's been a total game changer for the wife and I who like drastically different sleeping temps.

It starts to learn your preferences and makes adjustments automatically throughout the night based on your heart rate and rem cycles.

It's pricey but we are heavily considering buying one for our house when we move back.

Have you considered the Church of Latter Day Saints?
I hear they have multiple wives specifically for this issue.

Also consider the benefits of fractional ownership.

For $2245, I’ll figure it out with fans and the like.
    That’s beyond ridiculous.

That would probably help! My wife is always very sleepy after and the sweat will act as a cooling agent so you can close the window.

Give it a try and report back

    Fight back with engineering.
Add a auto window actuator you can close with a timer on an app.

Shirley if we can make flawless auto-driving vehicles we can make an auto-adjusting window.
