Shameless spousal promotion, but this story centers around the January 2020 Taylor slide. Really proud of JT's reporting work on this one, and hope that some change can come out of this tragedy.

I saw Cody Townsend link that on Threads. It's a very in-depth and well done piece.

While the "Pepsi's Run". typo is unacceptable...
This Alta Chutes Zone could also be improved to be a single mention of "Alta Chutes" w/ a #1, #2, #3 in sequence (#0 as well?). just thinking out loud here...

Did anyone else feel the earthquake? There was a 3.7 NNE of Tetonia at 4:21 this afternoon.

Meanwhile, I am hoping to finish my book of ski photography (from '22/'23) in the next week or so. Putting it in writing to keep myself on track.

A family member staying at my house in Driggs told me he felt an earthquake today. He said the house was shaking for about 5 seconds or so.

I was driving and did not feel the earthquake.

Man.... I wanted to have it done MONTHS ago, but life got in the way. That said, I've never put my work out there in this way before, so whenever it comes it's a win. I'm not going to beat myself up over that — I'm really good at beating myself up over things!

I felt it at the village. Was just a short, momentary shake, but enough to be certain that it was a quake.

I would like to echo that the article was well written and interesting. Those incidents were so strange during that already strange time and she captured it well

Pleasantly surprised with the upper mountain coverage, got a couple late day thunder and subbie laps. Real nice snow and some off piste in.

Hear, hear, that was a fun am and we got in quite few laps. Mostly fast, some soft and some sweet light crud.
Thanks for taking the time to roll down and bust a move.

Skiing was choice before the denim onslaught. Genuinely some of the weakest skiers in forever. OOOf.

Fucking excellent. There's no 2 ways about it, as the local little sister to the village, the 'ghee is built like a brick shithouse. That place can stand up to the Big one in any season and take it to school.
Targhee on a Blue pow day is stellar, especially if jhmr is hosting a dumb jeans-a-thon for cheap.

    Not I and I.

This has been an interesting snow start and the pics show how well it has stacked up for us.
Yesterday's photo was great but today's first one is my choice for best so far
