Honestly think that’s right - did this for a flight back to NYC a few weeks ago, made it down with so much extra time. Powder wasn’t quite this good though.

The point of the story was that sometime later they announced a mid-day canyon closure 2:00-3:30, which he may or may not have seen. If he was first in line at Gate C when it re-opened does he make his flight? Maybe.

The BBI sticker grom is probably mine. Feel free to keep him in line if needed.

yeah today was amazing, but the lift holds because of lightning really put a damper on things.

still, 3" of graupel was all time. and it didn't seem to get skied out at all! those little ball bearings are great

Few things make me happier than a few inches of graupel and some wind. Everything smooths out to perfection, mach looney speeds are achieved, and it never really gets skied out.

Stoke levels high for the Duff family up here! Last couple days have been a blast ,but like TFW said above, those quick shots of graupel throughout the day today on top of a bunch of new snow were just so damn fun! Thunder Bowl laps early w the Tram line long due to Peruvian down for a mechanical, then back up top afternoon for graupel filled and wind buffed Silver Fox and Cirque laps w the 10 yo grom.

Some grom stoke pics, forgive dads total beater photog ability.

passing through SLC and planning resort ski a couple days. Altabird this Friday(starting at Snowbird because I don't want to pay Alta for parking). Not sure about Saturday, thinking Snowbasin or maybe check out Deer Valley, for less crowds and heading north post ski. Looking like some new snow in the forecast.

parking will be easier but there is no 'less crowds' at snowbasin. Better terrain at snowbasin though and I think we've reached that point in the season where locals are over pow so I can't imagine it being too bad on crowds at sb.

In the days of Ikon, there's no "less crowds" at DV either. Parking is usually full by 9:30am. That said, after Noon, things die down, but that's pretty much everywhere.

What a cycle!!! Also props to the Alta Marshall this morning for intervening on a road rage situation at the designated bc lot. I hope the degenerate human that was spouting hate speech got what should be coming to him.

I personally think that Snowbasin has better terrain than Deer Valley.
