Most of the euro stuff should be good. BC has a big sale if you shop there I can’t go euro and need the looser Freeride fit. Norrona has an insulated

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Yeah backcountry has a bunch on sale but many of them are ones I bought & had to return last year (like Flylow) since they didn’t fit.

My OP was tongue in cheek, but I used the word athletic to make sure nobody misinterpreted this request as ‘skinny guy looking for skinny guy pants’. Plenty of rando AT brands that are waaay too tight if you have basketball player or skier thigh muscles and glutes.

Sucks that there aren’t more brands offering Tall versions. I understand why brands assume a size Lg has to fit a 38 or 40” waist these days, but I miss the old days circa 2000 when that wasn’t the case. I mean back then literally anything from patagucci fit great

Strafe and Arcteryx. Obvious but will likely work.

Ya it’s weird. In terms of weight and clothing fit, yes. But my knees aren’t exactly the same…skin ain’t the same…you get the picture.

Tried Strafe 2 years ago, guess I could try again in case they’ve changed their pants. I have a Strafe XL jacket, fits shoulders great. The waist is big enough for a 40” waist easily but that’s fine, I just hide a PBR rack in there.

Edit: nope the Strafe Summit size Lg is for 37” waist. The Med would fit my waist but is too short in the inseam…which is what I found 2 yrs ago.

Chemical Pant is of course one of the pants that’s been available in Med Tall for years. Fits me fine, I probably have a pair in the closet. Not insulated, and none of the insulated Flylows have that size option last I looked.

Picture well viewed. My solution: 3/4 compression tights under a looser shell.

Strafe has different sizes. Cham and others are more euro. Nomad is more Freeride. But Ortovox is pretty slim and so is mammut (see pic)
