@brock Ahh, gotcha. There are a few gems in there but, yeah.

Is New Fairfield in Fairfield County? I think so. Many years ago I went to a Max Creek show at the old Candlewood Playhouse and they had Game 6 of the Red Sox/Mets World Series on the TV. Every time the Mets would have a great play and me and my buddies would cheer we'd get slapped in the head. That was fun. That part of CT is definitely New England

Ha...Max Creek is probably very Connecticut no matter where they play. That said, there may be a North of 84 Clause although, as a New England, I'd like to petition to kick Danbury the fuck out. Its full of New Yorkers going to the mall.

How far does the Metro North go now?

Metro North ends in downtown Danbury but the city is trying hard to get NY to tear out the rail trail that was just finished last year so they can run the train out to Poughkeepsie like the freight trains used to. NY is like "fuck off" but we'll see, there's a lot of money driving this. FWIW that mall is the #2 retail sales tax contributor in the entire state. If you kick Danbury out everyone loses. They also have one of the very few legal weed stores in the state so there's that too.

I think CT as a whole is New England by definition.

But SW of Hartford (exclusive of Hartford) can get fucked.

Work college was transferred down from Montville (near New London). Solid Sox territory.
Said he was a Yankees fan. I asked him how that came to happen. Says 'my father and my
older brother were Red Sox fans, so I had to be a Yankees fan'. Took him to Yankee Stadium for a game.
    First time. He was ecstatic.

Growing up I always felt very lucky to have lived a short ride from NYC. ; whether skipping school and
taking the train to Yankee Stadium or going to shows. But then going home to Ct.. The best of both worlds.

I've had good pizza in the North End of Boston in the past so...

the "can get fucked" and "yeh bub, its New England" are not mutually exclusive. The "can get fucked but is still New England" list is lengthy. Off the top of my head from growing up.

    Danbury
East Harford (Hartford had the Civic Center for Whalers games and places we could buy drugs and alcohol underage)

As someone that has been out of the game for too long, I'm interested in the parameters by which Hartford "Can't get fucked"

The announcers are making a real point that this US Men's soccer friendly is being played in EAST Hartford, Connecticut.

Doh, there we go again. I saw a great Max Creek set at Woodbury Ski and Racquet. It was just great because the 3 and a half hours of Jack and Jorma acoustic and electric was so stellar There's something about the CT hills that does something to live music. I don't know what it is but I've seen some of the most amazing shows in the western half of that state.

I grew up in Roxbury, right next to Woodbury. Litchfield county is colonial NE as fuck. Rolling hills, farms, fancy prep schools, old money all that NE shit. People love to shit on CT but Fairfield county is great.

Definitely miss it sometimes - used to love going to Limerock for car races(especially Ferrari weekend) and skiing at Woodbury and Mohawk was a blast.

I think New England is east of upstates. Wherever the fuck that is.

PS. As a new England transplant. I often sing this song when skiing the icy slopes you think of as snow.

Blackflies define the NE border. Fight me. Also with the pizza factor. Good pizza /= NE. Inverse pizza law. Proven.

    Fact.

    This is the way.

Ney, you say, see the Kittatinny area of Jersey as not mid-atlantic city scum. BS, go off those ridges and you will find all your blue tarps, crack, phent, and tranq.

Breck blows, Vail sucks, just be a person and admit it.

    I said CT works.

Land of steady habits, even the Nutmegger nickname came from dudes hustling: selling real and fake Nutmegs they had obtained through trade to the south & midwest while selling the various wares that were made here in the mill towns at the time.

Skiing here is most certainly work
