Totally. Not Angelica from summit. But dropping into A couloir to the right off of the ridge standard route.
Most of the searching was in the vastness of the drainage to the west - left side of the down hike.

I've been aware of this story for a number of years. I think I first read about it in a book, there was a big thread on the fourteeners (I think) that I read about it.

It's been a while, wish it could have had a better outcome.
