Stoke Dreams 2024: Euro BBI Ski Skolarships

I have missed this thread somehow - will donate -
Here to offer some stoke for tgapp getting a $kolarship. He has been super helpful to me in offering obi wan style wisdom in the all important art of espresso extraction. Matters to my life daily. I can’t find a tolerable shot of espresso outside my kitchen any more but I guess that is a good thing. Thanks, tgapp. Enjoy the mediocre coffee and great skiing on the other I side of the pond.

    Little bump / update.

All monies currently received have been distributed to BobMc and Tgapp. One of them generously agreed to take a slightly smaller payout to ensure we could get two. I've paid out one $1520 and one full 1600$ scholarship.

My brain is dead as I'm busy with a newborn at the moment, but I'll try to keep tabs on this at least once a week to issue an update. Any overflow funds under $1k will be passed along to established BBI Euro mags for payments of bar tabs, guide fees, gifts for hosts. Over that I'd suggest we try and get an additional partial scholarhship.

Donations open for another two ish weeks. 1 skolarvis short $80 of our pledge. First 80 goes there. If there’s another $6-700 on top of that we could potentially fund a plane ticket or a stay. Or it goes into the stoke kitty for use at the event.

I’m very happy I re-considered and accepted this. I got home late last night and still couldn’t sleep, my head was buzzing on how I was going to thank everyone for this. I woke up late this morning and realized there are no words I could write that would truly convey what this trip was and how much I appreciate it.

I didn’t ski particularly well nor hard, but skiing in Europe was mind blowing. I fully embraced the laid back ski day, soaking in the surroundings instead of charging hard. (Which is getting harder for me.)

    Thank you all!

Right on BobMc. It was nice to meet you and talk to you over dinner one night. Glad you decided to make the trip. (Glad I did too!)

Having skied with Bob while having him needlessly appologize for his lack of charging, I knew he was the perfect man for the job. The Alps deliver for those that love skiing, keep in chill no matter what and enjoy the mountains on the mountains' time.
