just an innocent bystander with 3pr, 2 of which passed through because they just didn't matchup with the snowpack. I get complimented on the 9D8 I'm still holding when they come out. The dated window pain TS still gets ogled and they are great fun in small spaces.

Reading the closer to the bone stuff... if Keith chooses to vie for a more comfortable lifestyle, I would not hesitate to buy the Protest on reputation alone, not having the need for it in my quiver.

A lot of Cold Dead Hands followers, the Protest will be hard to price still in the wrapper if Keith doesn't get help for the stuff he can't do and the ski isn't pressed any more.

I'm very curious about the new MVP too, but can vouch for the old 110 version. Hadn't skied mine for 3 years, having been on a Monster/LP105 bender, but was very happy back on them recently. Big turns, full speed, no problem. And on the line.
Ya i get that. There's more than a few that are stoked on the dimple and a bunch that go forward even I just feel bad when ive seen people have tip dive and think theyre missing out on a mindblowing ski by not trying them back a bit like so many others have. Ive had a lot of great days on both the gpo and the protest. They made a difference, especially the protest after it started to be snow/rain mix deep and heavy. Had the hill to my self because everyone left because it was too heavy. Protest made it just a fresh pow day. My secret weapon and it wasnt just the width.
I think the new mvp 108 would be intuitive from the get go. From my couch it really looks refined to perfection. Thanks for the beta
Ftr, im still sending friends to praxis because theyre just worth it and Keith is good people. Wish i could do more

My gpo's came alive in the -1 to -1.5 range and the protest at -2. I wonder if the new protest and mvp 108 profile has made "recommended" proper for me. I'm dreamong of both starting w the mvp 108. I loved my piste jibs and the mvp is essentially a wider pj and possibly with an even funner rocker profile

The GPO was my daily driver last winter in LCC with the Protest seeing plenty of days as well. I added the MVP108 during the spring custom sale.
I’m at -1.5 on the 4 flex Protest, -1 on the GPO, and am going to mount the MVP108 on the dot with gold P15s.
I was close to pulling the trigger on the MVP94 during the sale a few weeks back when it was $425 and couldn’t justify adding it. Keith’s email changed my plans and has me thinking I’m going to buy the MVP94 as well as the SND and sell my Head i.Titan and Blossom Pure 99.

Took the opportunity to get a pair of backup 175 stock Sluggers

The pair I have has carbon and a nylon top sheet

This backup pair purchased now has veneer, no carbon

Nice change up on the stock version, Keith.

    Hope this helps

We got 4 pair in the plug household. Maybe miniplug needs a bigger ski.

Wow, thats great to know, with your gpo and ptest mounts the same as mine. If i somehow manage to get the 108's i'd be really interested to hear how on the dot works for you, before i mount. Like you im pretty sure on the dot on the new one will be it for me as well but your experience should clear any questions id have.
Ive had the mvp in my cart so many times over the years its ridiculous, only to switch to a touring model or something else just to fill a need at the time. Always thought it would be a ski id use a lot. New one looks insanely good

As much as I like longer skis, I might go for the 192s given how much tighter terrain I tend to ski these days. I’m 188 lbs. The sale is for standard top sheet / flex 3 I assume.

I had a 196 and it was too much for me (6'1" and 200#). A 192 would be perfect. Seriously thinking about a pair of GPO veneers.

Man really hope Keith pulls through. I've gotten so much enjoyment out of his skis, and really think he brings something special and unique to the ski world. Agreed the Protest and GPO are legendary designs. For me its hard to say what my favorite shape is, but If I had to choose it'd probably be the Concept, it's such a wild design and there are so many different ways to slide it, slarve, "carve" it.

I'm trying to do the math on the GPO jrs for my boys. Its super spendy for a season or 2 at best, and it sucks cause the younger one is actually bigger than his older brother so can't even do the hand me down.

If anyone on here has some experience on the GPO Jrs, and can comment on how they'd fair as EC daily, for 11-13 olds, strong skiers. We are usually hunting for whatever is soft in trees, but sometime all you get is hard groomers. So still want to have fun on some crap days. They are both about 5,2 so would probably go with the 163, which is a bit ambitous, but the 153 would definately not last 2 seasons, given the growth rate.

Here's a recent quiver pic all going strong after tons of abuse.

My daughter, rips, the GPO Junior on the groomers after the soft stuff to get back to the chair. They are damp. She skis the 163, it skis a little short

I just got a pair of MVP108 to go with my RX. Keith is a straight up maestro. I hope more mags can step up and support the company in their difficult times.

I love my MVP 108s and also got some skinny Rx with CCR this past year which I also am really digging.

I had a stock pair of 192 Protests from a sale a few years back and had few amazing half days on them but wanted something narrower I could justify skiing more often than less so this spring ordered a skinny Protest in a HH/4fl.

Picked up some MVP Jr. for our 7 year old too. Amazing skis.

Thinking about a 175 GPO for my kid that likes to do freeride comps but also ski park and land backwards. The tail looks kinda squared off and maybe not a jibby/switch ski? Anyone used the GPO for big mountain and some park and been stoked on it?

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

    It’s going out FOR business

No change from beginning of this thread

Sounds like Keith is willing to press more skis at these sale prices to generate cash

I see protests and gpo’s added at all lengths

Can anyone compare the FRD to Slugger for a Tahoe DD? Looking for something to replace beat up DW104s. I briefly demoed the FRDs but it was Thanksgiving at Mammoth so frozen groomers only and not enough to get a real good feel for the ski.

Really can't justify a new set of sticks at the moment for a variety of reasons. But damn are those BC purdy.

Very curious about the graphic on the MVP 94. That's a ski that could fit a lot of quivers well and might be a good daily for me....

It would be hudgely irresponsible for me to buy another pair of sticks, but should really have another RX in the stable in case things do go south.

Also want to get my GF a pair of pow skis for xmas and would really like to make it a pair of Praxis, having a tough time honing in on anything in their lineup. Sucks that the GPO goes to 111 underfoot in the the 175... She's 5'4" and has skied a 185 in a pinch but that's way overkill for her.

The JMS in 174 is probably the current front runner. I think the 4 flex would be pushing it for her but she's a strong skier and could probably manage it.

But shit, I'm splitting ass hairs over a 3mm different waist. Maybe the 175 GPO is the better ski for her. Almost 4 more inches of rocker in the front.. I do like the fact that the flex steps down to #3 in the 175 and smaller. Maybe I'll shoot Keith an email on top sheet, thats gunna kind of play into the equation here.
