Parents just got a low mileage Outback as a second car, and I figure there’s gotta be an honest & competent shop that focuses on Subarus like we have in SLT?

@BobMc can probably recommend someone there..
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!
Subaguru did a bunch of work for me back in the day for good prices and I never had any issues.
Subaru is the Official Vehicle of Bend
Bought my ‘18 Outback new from Subaru of Bend. Nothing but scheduled service since then. Their oil service prices are competitive. Your ‘rents may hear bad stuff about them, but it’s almost always related to their sales dept.
For an independent, I’ve heard good things about Subietech in Bend, but no direct experience.
I mean, as far as places to look, I would say Bend is probably a top 10 location.
I’ve used the dealership and Subaguru in the last year. Encourage your parents to book early. They’re both slammed. Don’t even attempt to switch tires at Les Schwab. Waiting list lasts the whole season.
Just took my wife’s Forrester into the dealership last week. Oil change and a bulb = $120.
Subaguru certainly has some good online reviews. Does seem oriented towards the performance side of things, maybe they’ll talk my mom into a fart can exhaust. Thx for the recommendation.
And yeah, having spent much of my life in Bend I’m aware of the Subaru, AllRoad, 4Runner etc popularity there
I think their web presence probably looks that way, but every time I’ve sat and waited for a service it’s retirees with cars out of warranty.
Bend Subaru just built a multi-million dollar show room and new service center, but for years their service dept. was undersized and obviously dealership prices. SubaGuru tries to provide an alternative to the dealership.
