Pretty solid game between 2 unbeaten teams. Maybe the game goes the other way if played in Columbus.

At least Jonathan Smith can still lose to Oregon by going to Michigan State. And lose to Michigan too. That's gotta be worth a few million bucks a year.

Smith had six years remaining on his contract, worth $31.2 million through 2029, with a $3 million buyout.

I feel bad for Beaver fans. Writing was on the wall with Smith, his post game presser last night was pathetic. Conference realignment sucks!

Wow did CU sputter after all the hype in the early part of the season. I’m confident the future is bright but to finish 4-8, losing 6 in a row after all that hype, is pretty crazy.

Now we enter the exciting time.of year where tOSU fans argue why they deserve to still be in the playoffs...and will most likely be successful.
Damn shame, throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that

An illegal fwd pass, a saban meltdown, a 4th and 30 TD, a fumble in the end zone recovered on the 1 yd line followed by a nearly pick 6…all in the last 60ish seconds.

Lots of fun games but only one really big surprise, Ky>Louisville. On to the conference championships..

You gotta feel bad for Beaver fans. They are about to enter the glorified Mountain West, they get blown out by their rivals, their coach bounces, and I’m guessing the transfer portal will not be kind. Fucking greed.

WTF ? Going from a Mountain west wanna be team to Michigan State that will probably double his pay and have better resources is a career killer ? The flood gate of transfers will start next week. I feel bad for the Beavs when they were left in the cold but Jonathan Smith is too good to rot away in limbo that both the Coughs and they will be in for next season.

Good head coach. Poor business instincts.

But nearly unwatchable for me because of announcer Gus Johnson, who apparently learned announcing doing X-game qualifiers.

Jumping into a pressure cooker. Being fired will loom over every game he coaches once the third year starts. He will have none of the grace he had at OSU from the fans or the bosses.

Maybe I am just a bitter beaver but I just don’t see it working out.

If I were him, I would have finished the contract and then made a play at the NFL.

Also, he would have been paid the 30mill over the next 6 years and lived in Oregon instead of East Lansing. Maybe he will find a good deal on a home on Flint?

Truth. Just when the Beavs were starting to crush, they get crushed. Bummer.

FYI Oregon State Football… err soccer. just won the third round playoff game and is advancing to Quarterfinals after a seven goal game.

He basically took a Big Sky team after the Gary Anderson abortion and turned them into a legit program. You must be sniffing paint thinking a coach that'll be playing a non power 5 conference schedule can leap into the NFL. You do know the Beavs don't even have a schedule for next season ...
Good luck recruiting/transfers of any talent with that hanging on your neck.

My kid said that Florida State lost yet another QB yesterday. So an already sketchy ACC just got sketchier.. It will either be a two loss Louisville or a third string FSU as conference champions. Only think more chaotic would be for Iowa to beat Michigan. Does Iowa get the spot over MI and tOSU if they beat Michigan? And yes, Big12 is definitely out if jOKe State beats Texas.

Bring on the conference championship upsets LOL! at this point one loss Oregon and one loss Texas should both be in with one more win if FSU 3rd string loses to Louisville.

Hmm, I didn’t see any news about Rodemaker getting hurt. He looked pretty shaky in the first half, but settled down later on, especially after that Florida DT got ejected for spitting. Think that may have had an effect on the pass rush pressure he was facing.

I don’t have much hope that Louisville will beat FSU next week, especially after the demoralizing loss to KY. FSU has a pretty good team overall, and should be good enough to walk over Louisville, even with their backup QB.

What an upset tease day yesterday turned out to be! I was even hoping BYU would win, so Texas could get the rematch with OU. I think the Big 12 refs may have had a say in that one.
