Hopefully folks have kept up to speed on tourniquet protocol, because survival odds after waiting for someone to run back and grab that bleed kit can’t be good.

Yet another example of the wide geographical reach of the TGR forums. Shark update on the Cape, update on a Western fire, etc...all covered here.

Great, mass poisoning from algae. Just great. Add that to the sharknado.

Y’all have at it, let me know when we can talk Quint origin story again.

Not sure if you guys are just stirring shit for fun or what.. am I the only one who read "they made him throw it back" and automatically assumed it was a guided / charter fishing trip and the guide wouldn't let him keep it?

Definitely my first thought reading Woodsy's post.

Maybe y'all haven't ever been on a charter fishing trip?

There's rules and regulations out there.. I dunno if the little shark was legal to keep or not, but a guide requiring or encouraging a client to throw back a catch is certainly not uncommon.

Nope that’s exactly what I assumed he meant. Buzz thought it was a transphobic comment by m27. All good all around now. We’re onto Oceanic Whitetips now.

I was diving the back side of Molokini Crater once, it’s a sweet wall dive, and a drift. We were at about 120 feet early into the dive, and along the wall I saw a 5-6 ft white tip coming at us, at our depth. Now I’ve seen a 12 ft hammerhead off key largo, and lots of smaller black tips, but this fucking guy did 2 1/2 circles around us. Then swam off into the deep. It was creepy.
