I would still pick Lucile's, you mentioned Snooze so Lucile's would fit as a "replacement" for that and it is kinda/sorta ethnic. Is cajun/creole ethnic?

You'll also pass Chook chicken going N. on Colorado. It's fast-casual rotisserie chicken, but it's got a couple James Beard chefs behind it.

I'm vegetarian so can't speak to it directly, but foodies I know dig it.

So, we went out to Wild Tacos downtown, and OMG, was it really really good. A little chi-chi, but creative and extremely well done.

Missed this damnit. Ended up eating at a place in Ft. Collins that wasn't great due to circumstances and timing. But we hit a couple of breweries and had some good beers.
Rideit wanted a report on The Elizabeth. It's a very nice hotel with nice bars (The Sunset bar at sunset was great, weather was perfect for the patio), live music, etc. The hotel was clean, bed comfortable, common areas super nice, but.....I just didn't feel the value of a $400 dollar hotel in Fort Collins. But full disclosure, I'm not a fancy hotel guy, like they are for sleeping only and I would have been happy in a Holiday Inn. But, location is everything, and the location was great.

As far as food in Denver, I woke up the day after the wedding with a top 10 hangover and Hamburguesa Don Jesus was the key to bring me back to life. Other than that, the catered Mexican food at the wedding was the best thing I ate.

Denver has its Michelin stars now. Only place I've been that got a star was Wolf's Tailor. I think we went about a year ago. The food was thoroughly interesting and well presented. Our fully furnished private wall tent, complete with gas fireplace, was delightful. The service was top notch.

But I'll be damned if our meal for 2 wasn't over $500 and I even opted for a beer instead of the fancy wine pairings cuz I'm too much of a wine snob. The worst part by far was that after 9 courses I left hungry and had to grab a burger.

Been to Wolfs and Frasca. I think they both deserve stars based on the couple of others I've been to in Chi and Europe.

Live next to and have eaten a good bit at a couple of the Bibs -- Glo, Ginger Pig, Ash'Kara. I like them all, but probably not my favorite values in the city. How Tavernetta qualified as a bib (supposedly good value) I don't know -- but it is good.

Venice, on Wynkoop, is excellent Italian.

Mercantile and Tavernetta downtown are also both good. If money isn't a big holdup, Guard and Grace is fantastic steakhouse.

If she's a farm to table type gal, I really enjoy Potager which typically isn't to hard to get into. Great wine list and romantic patio. Short uber from downtown.

Oh - Fruition is a nice fancy-type dinner joint. Also a short Uber from downtown proper (it's on 6th Ave).

Also - probably not too late for a lot of places for reservations... Denver is still a cow-town at the end of the day.

I don't think Fruition has bar-seating, but they probably have some non-primetime slots open...

Mizuna continues to perform well and will likely be much easier to get into than fruition.

Potager doesn't do reservations, right? So go early or late if you're heading there.

My boss told me recently that the best meals he's had in town in the last year were at Olivia but they're always booked solid when I try to find a table.

Speaking of pasta, Barolo is as good under Ryan's leadership as it ever was under Blair's. Def worth considering, especially if you're into wine as Ryan is an ms.

Great filling vegetarian food just south of downtown at Somebody People. I'm no vegetarian but they do a great tasting menu and I love an old school traditional no substitutions coursed meal.

I avoid Bonanno's restaurants on principle which is why I leave out Mizuna.

Barolo is great, bit further away. With recent Michelin recognition figured it may be hard to get into.

Potager takes reservations by phone. Just not for the patio I believe.

I was at Casa Bonita this weekend.

The carnitas' were better than I thought they would be.

Sopapilla's were a $1 a plate for 4. They came with honey on them already.

I think the Pac man was $2 a game.

I thought the place was empty and I had to go through a metal detector.

It was really clean.
