I set up the ticket deal at Stowe in 05, I think we had about 80 people claim tickets. At one point we pretty much took over a tram car and had a wacko Chinese downhill in the trees with dozens of nutjobs bobbing and weaving all the way down. That was fun. The after party at Vinman's place was great, I still talk to a lot of those folks.

We had a bunch of get togethers in NYC, some just maggots and a few Owens dinners at fancy places. Does he ever post here anymore? Some of those maggot events were a bunch of fun

I definitely have enjoyed meeting folks through the board. Likely over 50. Just one rotten apple.

Hey Danno, who all was at the hut above Vail (Eisman maybe?) all those years ago? You and I were there together. Pechelman was the guy that brought me and Rontele was there for sure in the role of plus sized lifestyle model. But I remember P4B helping run some sled laps below the boundary and I know some other mags were there. Lemonboy and Dobish ate the only others I can remember specifically.
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
    Cletus: Duly noted.

I don't think lemonboy was there because I don't think I have met him. You were with iskibc, right? I did that Eiseman trip a number of years in a row, so can't be certain who was there that particular year. But in addition to the ones you mentioned (Rontele and pechelman) there were certainly a number who used to come on that trip (many who no longer or rarely post here): Makers, Dobish, Pegleg, stupendous man, Labelle, and at least a couple of others who have accounts here but never really posted.

Stowe in ‘05. Thanks Gravitylover for ticket hookup and I think we got dvds of that years’ tgr film too. Jay mini a couple years later. Got a 30” dump. Coreshot had some skis with demo bindings he was offering up. Skied his phantom crystal ships-short fat skis, remember going way too fast through the trees. Thought we were going to have to send a search party for core shot. Hit magic on a powder day and it might have well been a summit. Hung with some mags on the deck apres. Same thing on a 28” day at mrg. Back during the period when Killington didn’t stay open late showed up to skin and there were more than a few mags and kzoners there. And finally, went to a ttips telefest at Bristol and think I skied and hung out with Adrenalated.

Think I’d enjoy a drink with bmills.

I could go on, but I’m a thread ender so I’ll stop here.

I'm a carryover from ttips, was in the industry for a few decades so I've met many of you through the years. I've met a bunch of folks from various demos, ski shops, trade shows, ski flicks in D-town or the old Avalanche Jam when my buddy from BCA ran it before Goldenbear took it to the next level in Breck. Also Gordy camp- met Irul, BD4A and a few others who no longer post but I keep tabs through the socials. There was a fun mini at ABasin way back when, I wanna say 2009, even Blurred was there. I'll see if I can find the pic.

The only peeps I've skied with the past year or so have been Danno and The Mayor™

Yup. I’ve skied quite a few mags over the years. My of my favorite ski days from this year was when around a dozen mags met up at Silver Mt and skied in a motley crew around the mountain. Good times.

Now that I think about it, my most fun and closest ski buds I met on the forums. Dr. Skiberly & Powtron, we really need to make turns this year, let's hope we enter this next season good and strong.

Here's a great pic of Trainwreck living up to his name. RIP. It will be 2 years next Wednesday that he's been gone.

The Basin big mini was in 2006. Big crew at that one. Gosey, Phish, Shera, Brett, Summit, Bondo, Iski, Lone, Brittney, and many others.

    Your link is dead.

Theory isn’t that complicated. Social media users that meet up in real life tend to be less hostile more accommodating to their fellow users. Easy to burn bridges behind a keyboard, those that look forward to actual face to face interactions mince words.

This place is better when we ski together.

Less, I like red. No, blue is better. Yellow is the best. No way yellow sucks. There’s often an argumentative vibe if not down right hostility around here. Different than the old tits or gtfo vibe. The usernames that posted in here aren’t largely the culprits. Hence the theory and the post.

Btw, informal poll. Don’t think I can make a real one from my phone without tapatalk. Thanks to everyone who played along. Especially for those that posted pictures. I enjoyed seeing all the smiles in the photos.

Ha, that's me. Man, I look terrible.

Anyway - Jackson, Gordycamp, Mammoth, Stowe and innumerable run-in's in VT, UT and Tahoe.

Many EC Ullr-fests. Sadly that has played out but singlecross' summer minis are gaining traction.

Hell, every weekend at Magic was a TGR mini for a while...

Can't count the number of mags I've met IRL and all are solid.

Can't stress enough that if you are going to JHMR, reach out to DJ. He will hook you up with many mags that will show you the right way to ski that hill.

Went to an Epic summit in Utah in 2010...it was lame but met some lifelong friends (most are TGR infrequent posters). Best part of that trip was getting a free guided day at Snowbasin. Still finding untracked 2 days after a storm. And storm skiing the trees at Solitude.

I met you guys! Over 50 I'd say, probably closer to 100 now. Skied with you, stayed with some of you. All first rate interactions, amazingly good times and some lifelong friendships. As to the plethora of folks I have on ignore, IDGAF. Things are relatively black and white for me... Sorry.
    Not sorry.

Edit, it's probably not a plethora as most of them are likely the same person posting with a bunch of aliases

Stoked to be in some of the photos upthread, skiing around Alpental with a ripping crew brought me back to my ski bumming days in my early 20s. Met and stayed with cool people. Hope to do it again.
