I thought your slick MBA appearance in a hot Lambo matched your online Persona perfectly.

I was in rueras once and met mags here and there in the alps. Mostly the valais Crew and few others. Thus year: GaryfromCan was a pleasnt Addition.

Most memorable and weird was Splat on the titlis. He had started drinking while I was still busy skiing pow. It were the Golden days in the 2000s ( or was it later? I think 2005 or 06) where you could still ski pow after noon.
It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.

I hit an east coast Ullrfest at Big Daddy’s shortly after I joined here. I didn’t have much of a presence on this board at the time but still had a fun time. Met quite a few longtime mags who no longer post here. Guess the ECRC ran them off.

Attended BBIMT18 as an intro to the maggotdom; Big Sky and Bridger and met many mags, some never to be seen again.
BBiAlpy18 at the mother hill with the baking crew, that was awesome.
BBIUT Solitude and Alta was a blast with Brock taking honors as Prezident, and the Fugitive skiing that broke ass ski down.
BBIJH22 Q&D was fun and had a good turnout considering the bleak snowfall.

I've met and skied with so many mags at my hill, JH, that I'd have to guess at least 150-200 mags.
It's like a constant roll through here come winter. I luv it altho it can be a lot to handle.

At least 15 have stayed at the waxroom for an easy crash spot.

Have only met one that I didn't really like and he was nice enough but a real dink.

Met a dude with his fam last winter at the summit of the tram who recognised me. How, I've no clue. Came over and introduced himself, said he was a long time lurker but not a player.
So great to meet folks who love it all too.

And the village is a solid spot to show mags a good day.

No summits yet, but I've met a couple handful of Mags over the years in skiing and non-skiing contexts.

I found the humor to be very much like their online personas and generally even more polite.

Never. But most of my best ski and climbing partners were met through this place back in its hay day.

I've met ~10 of the people who have posted in this thread so far, several hundred over all through summits, Maggot beer league team, etc. Only a couple I didn't jive with, and at least 4 who are no longer with us (Plakespear, Ubersheist, Dug, Powder11).

    Yup.

Tahoe, three Mammoth mini's, two of Gordy's maggot only AltaBird camps, and a whole hell of a lot of larger than average Kirkwood gatherings, just cause someone was rolling through the area.
Wait, how can we trust this guy^^^ He's clearly not DJSapp

BBIMT18 and TFW's party this past fall. I've met a few other mags on and off the hill over the years. BFD's kid called me out for reading the forums at the MSU library.

I have been the recipient of more hospitality than I could ever give back and for that I am grateful.

Most handles seem to be shades or projections of the person and I like it that way.

Yup. Way back when organized the first Utah Mini. Turns out it wasn’t so “mini”. A summer trip to Hood with Mrs. Buzz carrying my not 18yo daughter. She still thinks PowHos Lincoln Loops were the best looking trick during the throw down with pFunk All Star.

I’ve met hundreds of you. And I’ve enjoyed all of the meetups over the last 2 decades.

Only minis. I've probably met about 50 of you idiots in real life. My lovely wife refers to all of you as my "flat" friends right to your faces.

I skied with a couple guys at Magic, spotted MINAW from the lift but never connected. I met M27 in the parking lot at Platty and met a few mags there another time a few years back but I’m having a hard time remembering who it was others than GetAmped. The number of NYSB people I’ve met IRL has been steadily climbing over the years though. Weirdest one is a guy I knew through NYSB and had skied with. He emailed me one day: “I think I’m dating your sister’s husband’s sister”. I was like, hold on, I think I met this guy’s wife a few times. I had to go on FB and IG and do a little research to confirm he wasn’t still married. Next thing I know he is married to my sister’s SIL and has a baby with her. I think he’s on here too but doesn’t post much.

Several good friends met from tgr and more to come me thinks. Have probably met around 15-20 mags total irl (that I am aware of. )

All good peeps. Of course, it's pretty easy when we can jab about skiing, bikes, and debauchery.

This thread makes me realize that I need to make an effort to meet some maggots. I know one maggot in real life. If the late April fishing thing happens next year at Bob's place then I am really going to try to make it happen.

Poll: how many have attended a Summit…

Put myself into the mix at the first BBI. Have attended most after that, hit the euro one and hosted at my local hill a couple years.
Guessing I’ve skied with about 100 plus mags, maybe more, housed a few, road tripped with some. A decent handful or two are very good friends.
Haven’t jived with only a few, they gave me a weird vibe.
Most are super solid people who will help another out when needed.
Quite a few no longer post here as this place has definitely changed, not for the better unfortunately.

    You forgot Cletus.

My son had just been the youngest to ski off the chair so far (younger have done it since).
