Tracy ended up coming to a party that my group had been invited to at En Los Andes' place. MakersTele, Cletus and If I recall correctly Squirrel were also (independently) there.

Should do a N of slc summit at Beaver. Place is tits. Can book the yurt at the base of the hill for cheap af, fun mellow skiing. Snows a lot there. Can ski off the summit down to the road for easy side country. Nordic track from the yurt as well. Good ppl. Safe mellow Backcountry Skiing all around Beaver.

Pinecreek is 45/60 min away, def will want to check that place out. Very unique.

march is basically full. feb is mostly open, should do a 2 night midweek booking so ppl can use thier indy days. beav blacks out indy weekends pretty sure.

i'd book, pay for 2 night and do a bunch of cooking late feb. fuck, for a grand to me i could have everyone stay and eat on me, if you have indy it would be getting there and whatever extras. could be cool.

I have been to a few organized "summits" here in the wasatch, and have [almost] never met anyone who made me cringe. Getting together with the guys on the board is always a good time. I love skiing with maggots, and don't do it nearly enough. Whether the encounter is a few shared laps or more, maggots always make me grin about something. I have met some pretty FKNA amazing skiers here and some damned average skiers, but its all good. The hospitality, kindness and vibe that most mags display is impressive. Common interests, like sliding down a hill of ice on two sticks with frigid winds burning your face is special, and brings out the best. It's a long strange trip that I don't want to end.

I would love to summit one day this year at Pebble.

Pre summits, early 00s I hosted a number of pre ski movie events in my condo in SLC, skied with more than a few mags in both Cottonwoods and Basin. Hosted couch surfing mags from ID & CO. Used to meet/see a lot of Utahrds at parties & such
Did a bit of shuttling & airport pick ups & skiing during first summit in Utah.
Hosted all the stars of Immersion at my hotel in DT SLC before the "premeire " at the Skybox.
hit Jackson Summit & the front end of the PNW/Whistler summit.

Hired a few mags for the best jobs of their lives working nights at my hotel @ Solitude during a 600" winter.

Mags use to reach out when they were in town for buis, I used to do same.

Right after I moved to NYC I flew out to Seattle for a mags 50th bday at Crystal that was mag heayy for certain. There were a few mags at my wedding & I went to a few mags weddings since I was on the East coast.

I have been in iceman's kitchens

Now my kid skis with mags and their kids when we are in UT.

I consider myself irregular, but there was UT 2002 (scissor scrapings in Eagles Nest with Splat et al), Marshalls batch at Silverton (2005?) the Alpental BBIs, one BBI at JH and what, now, 3 EuroBBIs in Rueras, CH?

I spent many a season in Colorado and would have taken time off and headed over for this, just for the comaraderie.

Open offer for a tour of Mt. Bachelor for any mags that make it over to central Oregon. Not always, but usually I can help with tickets, too. At least a discount.

I know it's unlikely, but I would like it if this thread became a landing place for in-face meet ups. I think after reading the first few pages it proved my theory. The solution to cunted up threads is meet ups. Spewing at people you'll never see is easy. Show your face.

Thanks mostly to Sinecure, Cinders and me got to meet quiet a few folks at the Mammoth Mini's (back in the day), for a year or three.
We even had the *party condo* for one night, at Mammy when Bodie brought a bunch of home made cocktails.
Ended up with AsandyGal's hubby "Dark"Mark (rip) taking a swing at someone...unusual.

And my intro the trgz was a roadtrip with skifishbum to Bridger and Big Sky in '18?
We had never met but he let me convince him to come up to JH, spend the night and ski a day, then do the BBIMT18.
Then did an Alpental BBI in '18 and a coupla Solitude BBI's '19 and '20 then a JHBBI and a EuroBBI 22.

I've been lucky to have met and skied with many dozens of mags here in JH and out in the real world.
