No shit. I met you and a few others at a NET fest at Jay. I still have the Voilé shovel that I won in the raffle. And as we predicted, my wife thought it was a great shovel for dog turds. I have had to rescue and wash it a few times. It makes a great car shovel.

The end of the EC Ullr-fest and the best one I went to although some of the earlier ones at Big Daddy's place were legendary from the TRs

fwiw, possibly the longest TGR registered ongoing imposteur. (is Owens sleeping yet?)

    BTW, I didn't see a poll...
You're going to leave out the original, stealth, Nelson/WW summit? We didn't even know what to call it back then. I recall it got a little write-up in Powder (with some of the facts wrong). I have some photos somewhere.

That one was the closest I've come to a real summit. I guess one day at Loveland years ago (LBD, which included my moment of greatest glory, triumphing in the Chinese downhill) might also qualify, along with a day or two at Magic when I happened to be around. Feel like the summits are kind of gone, for better or worse. Rob Story's fault??

I went to the Utah mini at Solitude because I was a local there, so I showed up for one morning. Met a bunch of great people who don't remember me! And some other great people too and had fun skiing with east or bust, Norse, yetiman, dibs, and more. Was looking forward to skiing with iceman splat and djongo but they just got stoned went to breakfast.

Where's Happytimefunbox aka thefujitive these days?

Anyone remember that dude from Jackson that came down to party, long hair guy? He was the only super crazy guy I’ve met.
Didn’t I lose a shoe to that guy? Memory is fuzzy but I seem to remember something about vomit and a shoe.

I've met a whole bunch of mags, but I have a hard time matching up real names with screen names. I made it to one of the Mammoth mini's awhile back, and several Gordy camps (those were fun!), and IIRC there were some of you on the Best Groupon Ever -- that cat ski offer from Big Red Cats many years ago.

I vaguely remember vomit in a shoe but I had no recollection it was yours. Of course it’s been a while.

Memories from that day/night are certainly difficult.

The BBI franchise got them going again pretty strongly for a while, and they still occur. Minis, Europe BBI, etc. Rob Story can't kill us.

Only summit I made was the Donner Ski Ranch early June powder day in 2011? Splat was as advertised. Met and skied and fished with a fair few folks. Scored housing etc from folks here.

I was sitting in Discount Tire two days ago getting my snows taken off. In walked Fugee to get a leak fixed. Hadn’t seen much of him lately, he’d kinda dropped off the face of the earth. He’s doing well, keeping life’s affairs in order.

Mostly minis with 2-3 mags and ski. But biggest was with telefreewasatch. Went to his house for big past dinner and learned a lot about the cottonwoods and fun stories. Great to catch up with a bunch of mags and stellar night.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Seems like most folks just read the Padded Room and their one regional thread. Too stovepiped, IMO, and they miss a lot of cool events and discussions.

The only summit that I have attended
    was at Jackson.
Got to meet and ski with a lot of local
    and visiting mags.
Thanks for organizing and hosting at
    the waxroom DJ.
Good times were had both on and off
    the mountain.

The only other times that I’ve skied with
other mags were at Snowbird when I
met up with SuPu and some of his pals.
One of the most fun days ever skiing
the ‘bird. And Harry and Bunion on a
10 inch powder day on wanker Wednesday
at the Big rock pile. Was too powder crazed
    for a hut tour.

I’m working to fill up the ski travel fund as we speak. Planning a 5-6 week Mountain Collective loop with the truck camper next Feb-March. A few days in Jackson is top of the list... Ski you and other Mags then, DJ!

I have a bunch of photos (and video!!) from CO Abasin Mini 2006.

If anyone has a deck that works with MiniDV tapes and connects to a computer I would love to borrow it.

Lot 4 at Alpental is a mini pretty much every weekend. Got out with a few new mags last year and it was awesome. Hoping we can get an honest to goodness BBI going for next year. The last one was... eventful.
