How is there a course selected for the 2051 US Open already?

That’s literally every single pga tour event. There’s always a constant buzz of an airplane. I was really hoping Rickie would win but as a Oregon alumni I’m stoked for Clark.

Because the guys in charge now don’t want to leave that good bribe money on the table. If they wait 15 years some other bastard will collect it instead.

Not to actually live there. The last thing a pro wants to do is live at a higher elevation. Not saying there aren't exceptions, of course, but generally speaking. There's a reason most of them live in Florida (sea level basis for club distances, plus bermuda is the toughest grass to hit and putt on so it makes other grass types seem easier).

    2023 PGA

No state income tax in Florida.

New Bermuda strains and growth regulators are pure surfaces.

The income tax part is true for endorsements but not tourney checks - you pay local state taxes based on the event. Plenty of other states without income tax.

And sure, I’m not saying Bermuda can’t be pure just that it’s the most difficult due to grain and the sponge effect. I’m literally just repeating exactly what dozens of tour pros, including Tiger, have said as to why Florida is an ideal spot to be based out of.

And the roads being generally flat and straight there make them easier to drive on.

    Fact
Well .... While this divide includes deserving cities such as Danbury, it leaves out much.
I mean, where would you place Norwich ?
TPC River Highlands is south of I-84 as it cuts diagonally across Connecticut.

    Quite an impressive field https://travelerschampionship.com/2023-player-field/
    Hope the weather holds up.

See, now there’s a man who knows the difference between Perkin’s hostesses and Perkin’s waitresses!

Rory looks primed to win the Open this week but I’d really like to see a hot-handed Ricky finally get a major.

    Fleetwood has been playing well.
    Good first round for him.
Kinda the English version of Fowler.
