Lots of great suggestions so far. We are officially booked for two night in Dingle and two nights in Galway, so we'll be focusing on excursions around those areas. I extra appreciate thoughts on things that a nine year old would enjoy. We're planning to book the medieval banquet in Shannon on our last night. Love that suggestion.

Dingle is famous for its berries.

Galway: arran islands and cliffs of moher ( can be done in one With a boat Tour from Doolin I think. Might be two different boat rides though).

Dingle: coumeenoulee beach and sleahead drive. Spectacular.

You can also go there by ( speed)boat from dingle and go dolphin watching to the blasket islands. We saw the dolphins and the islands from coumeenoulee beach and the lookout hike there but the islands look really cool and are probably a great sight.

The drive north from dingle through the mountain pass is supposedly cool as well but We've never dared with our rv since they say: 2m wide Max. And usually the irish are generous with their ideas of who fits where [emoji3]

9 year old: dingle had a summer fair two years ago right by the harbour.
Surf schools are everywhere but inch is a nicer beach than brandon bay. And you can drive around on the beach! ( we didn't...we have a big rv )

If you go that far south to the Ring of kerry: beenarourke lookout down on derrynane beach is quite the view.
It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.
