    Mounting jig for Look bindings?

I want to do my own mounts for Look bindings, but I'm having trouble finding any mounting jigs for sale. Does anyone have any leads on where an end-user (customer) can buy a Look jig?

I hear ya - sure I could freehand it, but when drilling brand new expensive skis I'd like to reduce the "screw the pooch" risk.

What are most of the Look devotees here using for doing their own mounts?

    I use a Look jig.

That I borrow from shop friends.

    Did you try calling dynastar?

Reducing "screw the pooch" risk usually means taking it to a shop, and having them do it, or taking them to a shop, and doing it yourself. What's the point of buying a $150 jig for one mount?

I've never spent $150 bucks on my other mounting jigs so I am looking for a good deal. I don't mount using the boot midsole mark and I'd rather not take the time to explain my methods to a shop tech who probably isn't really listening anyhow.

If you always mount for the same size boot sole you could just get a thin piece of wood, softer steel or alumon and drill the holes in it using a jig and then you'd have your own ghetto jig. Or just make a friend at a shop who'll let you borrow the jig overnight after the shop has closed.

I always just take my boards to a Fischer shop, and they never have any problem letting me mount them up myself. So yeah, just make friends at a shop and do it yourself...
