They are saddled up and ready to go- we just need a big storm to finish cold. I had 3” an hour snowfall at my house while I was at work, now raining to 6k. The base is getting real good though! I’ll report back when conditions allow a test drive.

Of course depends on where you put the ski strap. I’m very curious how it skins and skis- i loved the older katanas and bodacious, fingers crossed for a light, lively backcountry ski that reminds me of them a little…..

That’s basically the same rocker as the BC90

I’m thinking they’ll flatten out a little in the cold.

Chasing My Dream Daily Driver - The Heritage Lab FL105

What’s the recommended drill bit size to use for binding mount on the c105?

I've drilled 3.5 and tapped the FR builds.

I want this exact setup lol. Hella sexy. Did the spacer fit into the brake hole in the heel adjustment plate (only on newer oazos i think) or you just screwed right into ski?

Similar to Arild, I am 4.1x9 + tap on my own FL and FR skis. These skis have very robust binding plates.

Seriously. I did 3.5 + tap in my FR110's. I think that might be the most stout ski I've ever screwed into.

I mounted the spacer to the ski, screw hole sadly doesn’t work for it.

Sounds good, last year I did 3.5 no tap and it was a bitch getting the screws in

I did that with the FL113s. I learned, and tapped the rest.

Do folks think I am nuts for the plate? I can certainly back it off.
But having pulled out many heels, I'd just as soon not again.
That said, I'd say tapping is worth the effort.
    Thoughts?

Drilled with 3.5 x 9 and the screws did not want to go in. Got there eventually. Mounted with demos at -7 so I can go forward or back a couple cm, psyched to get these on snow once we get some in the NW!

I love it, just trying to have the best protocol! Nothing worse than pulling a pivot heel

Nooooooo. Once you've convinced yourself that tapping is fun, tapping is fun. Fwiw, I tap only 2-3 mm in, seems to help. Tapping-good, pullouts-bad.

So I should use the same protocol on all three of my upcoming Hertiage Labs mounts?
    R87, FL105, FR110: 4.1 +/- tapping?

Please, please, please keep the good mounting plate. Tapping is definitely worth it when the ski is on its 2nd or 3rd mount in a few seasons time.

Very tempted by the c105 and would love to hear reports from Mags on how it skis. I’ve got a beat set of VWKatanas as a reference point.

Any incoming availability on a c105?? … asking for a friend
