If you think Canada geese are mean, you clearly haven’t dealt with swans.

Yeah. Our local one is killing it. They have a few locations now. My friend is their realtor and they're shopping for multi-million dollar homes.

I'd bet. There's another whole multi-generational family business by me with 4 locations each the size of a horse show ring barn that can accommodate around 100 dogs. Boarding, day-camps, grooming, the whole thing. It's taking off with all the owners with Covid dogs now going back to work.

That's around too. Some guy in a van with "Pooper Scooper" on the side.

I’m a dog lover and owner, but running a dog daycare is definitely towards the bottom of my list of ideal jobs.….

That makes me wonder what they do with all the dog shit. I mean, there are only so many door handles.

Healthcare supplements sold on Infowars and Goop, the “dog shit pickup” business is just monetizing the sourcing.

Have you seen the passive aggressive note-leaving under the wiper thread? Endless opportunities for a fresh bag to be of use.

Unless you're keeping the dogs in crates the whole time you'll be getting sued every time some dog bites or kills another.. Are they checking and documenting vaccination records of each dog there?

Insurance for that shit's gonna be high. But I'm guessing there are people just doing it mom and pop and not even filing taxes on the proceeds flying under the radar..

Ours requires vax records, has separate groups by energy level and a whole process to apply with your dog and get accepted. They are amazing people who are great with dogs, but you definitely need to jump through hoops to get in. Got an asshole dog or are an asshole owner? They likely refuse your business.

Here's one. Not the one I was referencing earlier. I'll let you decide.

If you don't want to go the 4-star Dog Hotel or Doggy Daycare route, consider opening a social dog park. These things are all the rage around town here, and are mostly just big outdoor places with a few bars and stuff/features for the dogs to play with. Shit, if you want to go meet hot girls in yoga pants you don't even need a dog cause they all go there to hang out anyway with the one fried who does.

^ One of the nicer dog parks here (there are a couple-three) is quite the social/pick up place. Some entrepreneur could probably make a killing if they set up a margarita and wine concession.

Oh it's pretty wild. The bars are good and make legit cocktails, they have live (acoustic) music, show sporting events on big screens, and there's dogs running all around with attractive women talking to you about them.

    Could be worse.

It's actually a great idea. Especially in an urban setting with lots of young people living nearby. Guess you just have to be alert where you walk.

They have that at Squaw. It's called the Chammy and it's free. The beers are not.

This is how ours works as well. The owners sold the business a year or two ago so they could focus on their other business…. Self serve dog wash. They’re franchising around the country now.
