You are but not from a torso length perspective. I am 5’10” 175 and a bit long arm long torso and the Ms fit great other than it sitting about waist length. The M long fits me better. I wear both but prefer a longer coat length perhaps more from a style perspective given I wear bibs anyway.

Echoing Doremite's comments. I have both (L and M). If it's really cold, I need the space in the L to layer up but when it's above 20*, the M works great for me. I'm 6'0", 180-ish, 42L suit coat fits me off the rack like it was tailored.
