Shit, dude. This is the twitter of the ski world. Everything is out of context.

I treat it like a bar full of bros giving each other a tease, claiming to be the best skier on the mountain for gnar points. (You get that reference, right?) Perhaps I should have been paying more attention to your posts in the past to better understand your voice. Thanks for telling us you're on the spectrum. No need to throw money around, we're just here for the entertainment. But some of us get carried away, and I'm definitely guilty of that.

Apologies if you took me seriously enough that I would actually want a ski-off. I'm just an old man past his prime making the best out of a shitty mountain in Japan. I often misread and miscommunicate on this board. And for that, I apologize. I thought you were just giving me bro-punches in the arm.

This thread has gone full-kook. And I'm as much to blame as anyone.

Maybe i could relearn but the amount of concussions I have had its probably not a great idea.

The ski off call out usually delivers around page 14-15. Give it a few more days.

I called it, but my over under was on page 14-15. My guess was a bit too conservative.

I mostly wanted to keep laughing about piss drinking but I thought i would add my unsolicited $0.02 to this thread. In late June 2008 during snowbird's never ending winter, i change-for-a-nickled josh in the tram (I don't even remember why), but we ended up skiing together the whole day. internet persona whatever, IRL he rolls with a tight crew and is all about having fun and everyone improving however they can. We made jump turns in chutes slightly wider than our skis, ripped slush bumps, and had a contest to see who could throw the smallest 360. It was a blast. He even taught me how to outrigger (jk).

Now here are some random videos of me you can criticize. I have always had more balls than skill. Plus i have been skiing with a baby strapped to my chest and trying to get a 2 year old to ski for the last few seasons, so my spirit is pretty much fuckin invincible.

BTW you friend really can not ski. sorry. The offer extends to him as well.

As for breathing. I think you mis understand how lumpy the sub surface was here, had to ski flexxed to not go over the handlebars. I could have editted it out but choose not....Skiing is a sport and not some amusement ride.
Do you even know who you are fighting with anymore?

It must be exhausting when it is literally everyone.

Save that coin and come west, ski killer soft snow with a bunch of fun skiers of all abilities. We do it every year. Trust me, it’s a great time!

Risk reward ratio… it’s a tricky balance for aging skiers.

    You do you Bushwhacka.

We are all just out there looking for the next great run on skis.

Keep the entertainment flowing maggots… I’ll be watching, popcorn in hand.

Do you know how PSIA instructors and golf carts are the same?

They all look exactly alike and only go 15mph.

    it really isnt

Problem with the PSIA to be honest.

With that said if you can not ski you skiing at skill level stuff like you do you high end stuff you will fail. Most people dont understand that a wedge turn is skied the same way as their dynamic turn.

BTW that I mean you basically still have hip socket separation and no outside tip lead. Is Andrew a Level 3? Surely he must be.

L3 since 09, been on and off the educational staff several times. https://psia-e.org/download/snowpro/SP2018Spring.pdf I have run non exam events for the PSIA mostly trees and steeps.

Basically the equivalent of CSIA L4.

BTW you can not call PSIA people who ski like golf cart and then say I have odd style...its a conflicting statement.

There are so many experts in JH that I rate them as beginner experts, intermediate experts, advanced experts and expert experts.

    Beyond that is Master.
    Skijunky is Master level, undeniably.

He has to dumb it down for PSIA.

Ski yas tomorrow, BB and SJ. (Show me that pillow line)

there’s np with psia and it’s regimented for a reason. but regimented aspects of an “art” are always funny to me.
He enjoys that aspect of it though and I can appreciate learning anything that improves or enhances things you love doing.
Thanks for the compliment DJ- I can’t say I will pass it on though because he would be annoyed with me if he knew we were typing about him. hope to ski ya tomorrow

Shit, I have never skied the east. I feel like I should attempt the unskiable at some point though.

    you’ll probably die
nah, you’ll just be sweatier because of more turns and you’ll actually stop and eat a soup lunch because the skiing is not worth not stopping. But it’s actually still super fun.

That’s cool. L3 is hard to obtain.

What does PSIA instruction manuals says about “why ankles need to be able to flex?”

Looks like the professional organization you are a member of says that “ankles play a key role in for and aft balance”
