Ultimate fit liners (zipfit and intuition franken-liner?)

I’m happy with my Garas but thought this was interesting. Anybody seen these or heard anything about them? They won an ISPO award and they’ve got cork like zipfits but also intuition foam? https://www.ultimatefitliners.com/en...-ski-gamme-en/

I thought the malleable cork-filled liner was patented by zipfit but I guess not. Or maybe not in all countries?

Meh. One huge advantage to zips is that there is no material to pack out, ever.
Seems like those will have a waay shorter lifespan.

I guess the space of them packing out can be compensated with more cork. My problem is Intuition internal fabric has a limited lifetime. Max $200 for me.

seems like he just completely ripped off zipfit and added some intuition foam to the tongue for some plausible deniability that it's not a 100% carbon copy

Patents expire. Specifically so others have the opportunity to play and try to improve on the technology and so that there’s competition in the market so that no one has a monopoly for ever.

No opinion on these liners, and I’d still be buying Zipfit, but they aren’t doing anything wrong by using Zipfit type cork at this point.

He pays his dues to Coomer/Zipfit, and while I'd rather do the entire forefoot and tongue in intuition foam, not neoprene, then keep the heel and ankle area locked down with cork, I really don't see anything wrong with his way of doing things from a moral standpoint.

These are even made in the same factory as zipfits I’m guessing.
Dont really see why you need foam on the ankle when the cork works so well there.

Total Feet in France was having some made a while back with a removable tounge so you could go full foam.

EDIT: Lol it is Mark from Total feet making these, that makes me think they are more legit.

EDIT2: Found the old link. These look sicker than the new lines IMO, https://www.total-feet.com/en/gamme/...g-by-zipfit-2/

This, maybe not the tongue, just the forefoot. The biggest benefit being warmth.
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

That liner actually looks sweet. Lace pattern is nice keeping them off the instep. And the Velcro for a spoiler is a win too. That lace system may allow you to leave the liner in the boot. Honestly interesting.

Would like to get more info on some of the basic specs like: volume, weight, more detail on placement of the cork vs foam, actual foam density.... Certainly merits further investigation. One or more of you should sacrifice yourselves for the wellbeing of the collective and buy some

Brutal watch, I still dont understand why the foam on the inside of the cork is an upgrade? Comfort?

Race liner looks cool, but those hard intuition liners are so fucking uncomfortable.

Yeah, interesting. A thicker compressible layer that wasn’t heat sensitive could be nice for feel.

Which intuition liners do you find hard?

Exactly. I tried to marry a pro tour forefoot with my dobie stock liners for that reason. I did some less than great cutting, and they turned out... suboptimal. With my Zips, my only gripe about them is the neoprene toe box. It's stupid and cold. Ultralon foam up front? Yes please.
