Help an idiot replace their buckles.

Does anyone know if the full tilt buckles will work on a dalbello panterra? My upper buckles are starting to bend out and I can't find any place that carries replacement dalbello buckles.

I replaced a Dalbello ladder with a full tilt ladder from evo.com and it was an exact replacement. Not 100% sure on the buckles but I'd bet they work. FYI evo.com seems to carry the FT buckles too

I ordered one so I'll find out soon enough. I have to try something, my buckle is quiet quitting.

Interested in how this shakes out, I have a 1.5 year old Krypton with two blown buckles sitting in the closet. Dalbello and a few dealers have ghosted me on replacement parts, pretty frustrating.

The answer is, not really. The holes for mounting the buckles don’t line up with the holes in the shell. More importantly the buckle digs into the shell a fair bit when the buckle is tightened. Now that I have the buckle off, I’ll just go to a shop and see if they have a buckle that will work.

Local shop had a buckle that will work. It has one mounting point instead of two, but I don’t think it’s going to be an issue. Comparing it with the boots they had in the store, I’m guessing it’s an Atomic Hawx buckle.

some thing to pay attention to with all this buckle talk is that the ladders on some buckles have a hinge at the point where they are riveted to the shell,

so the instep buckle on my 4 buckle Dalbello has the hinge on the ladder while the toe does not, I think it was so he the buckle conforms better to the shell ?

I was going to suggest that--a good boot shop likely has a lot of used buckles that they will give you cheap or free, if you don't care if they match. And you can drill holes in the shell if necessary. I finally got rid of my previous pair of boots when none of the buckles matched.

I've had buckles replaced on my boots a couple of times. (Cinders one time).
A few years back now. Sent them up to Tecnica. No charge.

*So contact your boot maker, m'kay?*

The last time they included a spare buckle...(like *yeah...no, its on you now*).
One funny thing, they would ship back same method you sent to them. If you want next-day, you gotta pay up. Think they were in VT, so pricey from CA.
