I swear to the gods that Jordan Peterson is doing some kind of social experiment/performance art like the "Birds Aren't Real" guy.

Peterson is a clown, but the point about starving kids in Venezuela is accurate, though you could squabble over whether “illegal” is the right word to use. More like “strongly encouraged by authoritarian regime to not report”

What prompted wooleys friend to post it is unclear, though most of his stories usually are.

Wooley is in Cisco kid's balloon throwing sausage nukes ( smallest possible nuke being deployed in Ukraine right now)at father daughter Events to start WW3.

Devious, I know. But that's how Brandon and his cronies roll.

Edit: did I forget any important keywords?

Yes. I heard “Woolley” was going to show up in Epstein’s black book, so he’s trying to distance himself from that fallout.

Wooley is hanging with the Iceman these days. Cisco and otzi are brothers here.

My FB friend is a channel to the other side of politics. No dummie, he makes big bucks repairing roofs in PR and tools around town in a hot black Caddy when not on his Harley. Our dads were in the same medical unit during The Big One. His dad was a combat medic with a Silver Star and my dad drove the ambulance.

Also, longer periods between inspection intervals pushed by the railroad industry during the initial Covid lockdowns and still in place gave the companies incentive to layoff inspectors and push the workload onto an already overworked, on call 24-7 workforce. Not to mention the billions in stock buybacks purchased over and beyond the cost of upgrading the braking systems on ALL of their rail cars.

    It’s entirely fucked up.

I don't doubt any of that, the only complaining I've heard so far from those with a tall platform or loud microphone seem to relate to the environmental disaster and not the lax/outdated regs that could lead to such an event.

Discussion for another time, but I wonder how many of these people who are screaming that this environmental catastrophe isn't the biggest story in the news right now are the same people who would prefer to move another hazardous substance via rail (or other transport methods that can crash) rather than a pipeline.

Thanks for clearing that up. So the bra factory in Troy was a generation before?

Geez, shit blows up big in the PNW doesn't it? That's terrible. But then when reading up on that Lac-Mégantic, I'm reminded that dangerous product being moved rapidly by other means is incredibly more problematic.

Shitty in both accounts, no doubt.

    Press brief update!

We’re randomly firing missiles at unknown objects that are most likely not PRC surveillance balloons.

    Nothing to worry about.

It IS hilarious seeing how they went from "We better let that Chinese spy balloon finish doing its job and get across the entire country before even thinking about shooting it down" to "WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS! BLAST IT!!!"

    Electronically controlled pneumatic (ECP) brakes
In 2014, Congress passed the Rail Safety Improvement Act which required ECP brakes for "high-hazard flammable" trains.[6] The derailed train was not equipped with ECP brakes, which a former Federal Railroad Administration official claimed would have mitigated the severity of the accident. In 2017, railway industries successfully lobbied Congress with over $6 million and over $3 million in Republican and Democratic campaigns, respectively, to repeal the regulations requiring the use of such brakes on trains carrying hazardous materials.

The U.S. Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) claims that the FAST Act instead required them to repeal ECP brake mandates after an RIA report stating "...that the expected costs of ECP brakes are significantly higher than the expected benefits..." in 2018.[7]

However, despite the scale of the accident in East Palestine, the derailed train did not meet the qualifications of a "high-hazard flammable" train and therefore was not affected by the 2014 legislation or its 2017 repeal. The 2014 legislation was weakened by heavy lobbying from the rail industry.
