I expected the game to slow way back down come playoff time.

Great evening of baseball yesterday. Really getting me stoked for the real playoffs to begin. Phillies seem to really be getting the peak correct.

BMillls - get the family over to Truist for one of these intersquad practices. I need a report on the intensity. I have a feeling there’s no way the Braves can simulate anything like these wild card matchups. Just have to feel confident they’ll have more in the tank if they can go all the way. Has to be the lightest September of any team in the modern era.

I'm heading to The Battery for lunch tomorrow; curious to see what the vibe is like over there during the waiting period.

Rays-Rangers drew a MLB low 19k people to Game 1. I know they've got a new stadium coming, but man MLB and that city don't support that club.

Kevin Cash would look great in a Guardians uniform.

The lowest attended playoff game since 1919. Embarrassing for them. Not really sure how the new ballpark will help either since it’s in the same location. Should have either moved it to Tampa, or better yet Nashville or Montreal. I think we’ve had enough evidence that Florida isn’t going to support a team.

Looks like they won’t have to worry about it anymore this year.

I think it was about at this stage in the game that the Rays fired Joe Maddon, who then got scooped up by the Cubs and won a WS.

Tampa, if you're reading this, please send Kevin Cash to the North Coast before turning out the lights.

End it Twins! I don't think the Jays can stand up against the massive energy in MPLS right now. Yesterday the crowd was on their feet cheering every two strike pitch and I'm sure they're bringing that home field energy again today. They deserve a revenge visit to Houston.

Can we also not have A-Rod announcing? He's just.....not good. I'm going to listen to the Twins radio broadcast and sync it up to the tv broadcast so i don't have to listen to him.

If anybody wants more history behind the agony the Twins have been through for 19 years, this is a really well done video on the streak (thats now ended!). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWm_6l5m8uc

Ok. Philly and Minny are the best ballparks right now hands down. They’re electric.

    Nutso.

Bravos better step up the electricity in their scrimmages. Philly is playing ball.

The Jays make the Twins look like WS favourites. What an absolute debacle of all aspects of baseball that was, hahah. Baseball is hard.

The Dodgers get a division rival that they’ve dominated for years in the NLDS. Where have I seen this before? They better bring their bats this year because the Dbacks have the pitching lined up and will be able play pressure free baseball.

I like it. Nothing wrong with prognosticating.

I always wonder if the better team with the harder route is sometimes at a disadvantage. Dodgers, Phillies, and the Braves are the three best teams in baseball. 2023 upside down cake National League wins the all star game and we all kick each others teeth in and then let the AL slide into the WS and take it all? Let’s fucking hope not.
