I honestly don’t know one baseball fan that wouldn’t put Kershaw in on the first ballot. In the spirit of Mitt Romney retiring, I would be willing to bet $10,000 that he will make it in in his first year.

I also wish Dodgers fans would join me in letting 2017 go. Yeah they cheated, but I just don’t give a shit anymore. Kershaw got his ring in 2020 and has a chance at another, it’s time to move on. I just took a dive and a half season of middle infield kind of swayed me. Acuna is a fine right fielder, but Mookie is plus and is versatile. Meanwhile the Braves are also stacked with Olson approaching 60 home runs, and the Dodgers have only lost their stars over the years. But, it's a tough choice this year.

I'd still start a team with Acuna at 25 and not Mookie at 30. Maybe he'll get his next year? Seems like that's how this MVP stuff kind of goes.

How much of this stuff happens behind the scenes?

That 0-2 looked like a strike from my seat, and as a fan it's hard to imagine why he wouldn't drop another offspeed pitch (especially that changeup) if he was sitting on fastballs. Something about it bothers me, like when Aroldis gave Altuve 25 fastballs in a row.

Alright, Vlad Jr was born in Montreal. He's pretty good. Kind of trending down at 24 but he could play first for a lot of teams.
