Yanks cut Donaldson. Ooof, that didn't go well.

She reportedly snuck the gun in past metal detectors hiding it in the folds of her belly fat.
    Ewwwwww.....

They might want to adjust the sensitivity of their metal detectors.

At that point the Mariners had just lost their last two series. Since then they've won all but one series. The guy seems a bit fragile psychologically, so I hope he doesn't think the Mariners success is because he was out of the lineup. He should be back next month, so I guess we'll see. When he's bad. he's really bad.
it does make one wonder....dude has underdeveloped psyche for the big leagues and it just could be that he was dragging the team down. I mean hell...breaking your foot on a water jug? Then the whole crying sob story? Perhaps he'd be a good trade piece.

Yes, the M's gonna see some better teams once they hit this next road trip. Pitching has been great all year, now the bats have gotten hot. Keep it coming!

I was already sold on Mokkie as MVP a week ago.
Then he had a hell of a week.

I’ll always have respect for what JD contributed in Atlanta. Wish we had Joc in left field. Although that catch Pillar made last night was a game saver. Gotta have offense out of the outfield, got to.

Been a ho hum year for me as a Giants fan. They've been up and down. The weird opener thing half the time (although it has worked ok). Been fun watching all of the kids come up thougth. Harrison two nights ago was fun. Cobb almost no-no'd last night. We're still in the wild card race, but this team isn't going anywhere. At least they're not boring.

Going to see Ohtani Saturday in Oakland. Was a little worried yesterday as he came up limping after getting thrown out at 3rd. But it looks like he's in the line-up today. Hoping he plays Saturday.

He’s so fun to watch. Kershaw, Betts, and Freeman are such a pleasure to cheer for. Future HOF guys that also seem to be generally great dudes.

    Right?

And FWIW, I'm saving my HoF arguments for the future Jose Ramirez debate that was previously allotted to Omar Vizquel.

Nolan Ryan is overrated, Kershaw post-season numbers aren't good enough.

    Kershaw.
    nine time all-star.
    five time ERA champ.
    three time Cy Young.
    2020 World Series champ.

    you 're right -
undeserving for the 'post-season hof' -
Definitely, leave him off your ballot.

His postseason numbers aren't good enough for him to get in the HoF? Who posted that?

yeah, sounds stupid. i’ve been watching the Tigers feed this week. Really good shit yesterday with Lance Parrish stopping by to talk with everyday broadcaster Kirk Gibson. At one point Johan Santana’s hof case, starting pitching is so different these days but I don’t see why you couldn’t apply a Koufax model to him or King Felix.

Looks like Cole could get his first cy this year. It’s been a low key great season that’s gotten lost in the Yankees mediocrity. Judge might hit 40 despite missing two months as well, they’re the new Angels!

4 nights in LA for the Bravos starting tonight. I’ll be happy if we pick up 2. Pretty good preview of the NLCS.

Gonna be a fun 4 games. I’m starting to think the 2 seed is the easier NL route though. I want nothing to do with the Phillies in the NLDS. I’d prefer the Bravos and Phils beat up on each other first.

The difference between those two guys and Koufax is they both showed serious chinks in their armor before retiring. Koufax went out right on top, winning the Cy Young three of his final four seasons and being third in the fourth. I'm not sure if that's really fair, but it's something the voters are going to consider. I also think Koufax's peak value was higher than Santana and Hernandez.

I can't see any way that Kershaw isn't a first ballot Hall of Famer unless some kind of drug or other scandal emerges.
