What’s the difference between the backland sport, expert and pro?
All seem to be the same material but different straps and accessories?

but that weight seems promising. Probably could send to Cast for conversion. Fischer and K2 both look to have low volume riveted boots with tech fittings next year. I just know that the Atomic’s generally fit my foot well.

Fischer only has tech fitting in the MV RC4, not the LV

When do remedy’s start hitting shops? How much distribution will they see? Firm snow conditions today really made my hawx feel underpowered.

How is the internal length compared to a hawx? I’m in a 28.5 but might be able to size down with a bunch of work? I shell fit a 27.5 hawx belonging to a friend and my toes and heel spur both contact the shell but the base of my heel had maybe 5mm.

Didn't have time to try it on, and they might be gone already . . .

Any body know the interior length on the new Remedy vs other boots? I can cram into a 27.5 Lange RS (but not Shadow) with some toe stretching, and I tried a Hawk 27.5 and it worked. I just have a skinny foot and downsizing to get a skinnier last is generally the best option (except maybe a full touring boot).

Does the Remedy have a a full width bootboard instead of the normal race boot type board that only runs under the middle of the forefoot and ends proximal to the toes?

It's kind of in-between a narrow race boot board and wall-to-wall boot board.

The shock absorption duties are carried out by the ShockStopper foam material, which is substantially warmer than "rubber".

If warmth is your goal, inside our liner, across the entire strobel sole, is reflective heat foil that helps make the liner quite warm (in addition to your foot being fully wrapped in neoprene, front to back, top to bottom).

The Remedy is sounding sexier by the day. How does the liner like being stretched for length?

I’d say yes as the 120 to has gripwalk. This is basically the Lange RS to the RX.

    The Atomic Ski Boot Thread

What’s the torque spec for the screws on the Gnar bar?

Am I overthinking this? I have a tendency to over tighten things

If you still have the packaging, it should be on the back. Torque value is 2Nm. Doesn't seem like a lot (especially if you are used to working on bikes) but 2Nm is quite snug when tightening fasteners into compressible plastic.

Love my 20/21 Redster CS 130s, but I keep breaking the springs on the cuff buckles. (I unbuckle at the bottom of every run -- that's probably the cause, but I'm not changing that!) I have been searching in vain for replacement buckles, but it seems they're just not available online anywhere. Whenever I go to an Atomic dealer asking for them, they just look at me with some vacant, slack-jawed stare and go in the back to grab some non-matching buckle and throw it on there, which works, but isn't ideal because it doesn't quite fit the ladder. Am I missing something? I buy the high-end boots in part so I can replace the buckles, but if I can't buy replacement buckles, the whole thing doesn't really work!

Next time you are in an Atomic shop, have them call customer service in Utah and order this part number (left and right pair of Redster cuff buckles): AZE001880
