Heaviest, Softest, tightest, mid 90’s, 190ish all-mtn carver?

Trying to avoid dropping $1700 f-ing dollars on a Folsom Spar Turbo custom 15m radius 186cm soft resort layup with metal… and the tip to tail taper on the line blade might not pull it off for me.

This would be for low tide Tele carving and some bump runs in between to keep it spicy.

What other currently manufactured skis out there approach these kinds of specs?

J Skis Fastforward or Masterblaster might fit the bill. Haven't skied them, but J skis have a reputation of being heavy and pretty soft.

Line Blade? Longest length is 181cm but otherwise seems to fit the bill.

Masterblaster is similar flex to the QST, but is significantly stiffer torsionally. But radius is much larger.

Fastforward would be my pick. Masterblaster is 99 underfoot now. Might not be soft enough though.

Old QST99 and new QST98 are, as I understand it, very different skis. With the new 98 being closer to what you want. But it might be more rocker and wider than you want.

You could try getting hold of a early generation Enforcer 93. I felt that skied pretty soft and carved well on decent groomers

If not there is always a Praxis 50% off custom sale going on. Actually, that would be the solution getting you closest to what you want

I’m currently riding a qst blank and friggin loving it for everything, so this qst talk could be promising.

Anyone tried the qst 92 in a 184? Silly site says it’s got a 16m radius! Should I be drooling, or is it not heavy enough to be stable?

My bad for some reason I was thinking the decade, not the width. Need another cup of coffee

4frnt MSP 99? Comes in a 186, 2 sheets of metal, so maybe a bit stiff. Great ski though

So you want Cheaper, Heavy but yet Soft, great carving ski and all together- probably have to pick maybe only 2 or 3 of those??
Unicorns?? Sorry no recommendations of heavy skis (which usually mean metal in them of some sort or else multiple layers of harder wood materials that ski "soft"

Heavy, yes fits that bill for sure. The few times I tried them do not remember if they were in fact very soft.

Heavy, soft, metal: I think of J Skis right away.

The longest length of the 92mm underfoot Fastforward looks to be sold out though…

So the 187 Masterblaster would be the next best option.

I guess my Unicorn would be an Enforcer 100 from 2019 with a 16m radius.

Or a 190cm Armada Stranger. Anyone know if the AR Fam is gonna make that ski for tall people?

What about a rustler 9. It’s not super heavy, but probably one of the heavier soft models. I saw two guys out west on my trip with tele setups on black crows captis and they both loved them. Might be worth a look

Yeah, that new one looks especially interesting. Might be as close as I can get. Still though, what is the deal with Armada? There’s gotta be a market for a stranger in a 188cm
