Differences between Europe and US Avy Beacons?

Anyone know what the differences are between Europe and USA models for Avy beacons?

Can I use a USA Barryvox in Europe?

Can I use a Europe Barryvox in the USA?

I know that Mammut sells different models for the two markets, but I'm wondering if they have any significant differences between them that would prevent cross-functionality.

Yeah the W-Link has two regions, Region A (Europe) and Region B (NA/Aus/NZ). They are actually two different frequencies so my guess would be that you can't use them in other regions without changing the frequency?

I just tried to see if there was an option to change the region on mine and there is not.

edit - the more I read into it, the W-Link is mammut specific for burial movement, transceiver to transceiver firmware updates and additional info between two compatible W-link transceivers to make it easier to find. Based on that, I can't find a reason as to why you couldn't use it in Europe.
