Giro helmets with/without MIPS sizing question

    Hello,
I used a couple of Giro helmets in the past in size L, last one being the Montane and I was happy with the fit and overall.
I'm wondering if the addition of the MIPS makes a relevant difference reducing the effective size. I'm thinking firstly of the Neo model (which is new and with MIPS from the birth)
Good/large shops are rare around here and Giro didn't care so far to reply to me.
    Thanks in advance.

I didn't notice any difference when I switched from non-MIPS to MIPS.

    Thanks for your reply.
I'm going to verify it myself shortly.

Not Giro but a couple years ago I got a new version of same helmet same size (smith vantage xl) and in moving from the non mips to mips the size did go smaller, enough to be annoying.

I got yesterday my "new" (barely used) Giro Neo and it luckily fits my melon well.

I wonder if this ^^ helmet designed for the sikh population would also protect the " Man bun "

I am also looking at some Giro helmets. Not all are Mips from what I can tell. They have 2 different size/fit charts- the general one for their Fit System:

    ADULT SIZE CIRCUMFERENCE
    S 52 - 55.5 cm
    M 55.5 - 59 cm
    L 59 - 62.5 cm
    XL 62.5 - 65 cm

Yet some of the helmets that are Mips are showing:

    ADULT SUPER FIT SIZE CIRCUMFERENCE
    XS 52 - 53.5 cm
    S 53.5 - 55.5 cm
    M 55.5 - 57 cm
    L 57 - 59 cm
    XL 59 - 60.5 cm
    XXL 60.5 - 62.5 cm

and non-Mips (like the SESTRIERE race series) helmet I've looked at have no size chart at all attached to the model.

That was worth the read. Crazy.
Mom has no idea of the liability in being a helmet manufacturer and designer
Also. I can ride a motorcycle in Canada with just a turban and cite religious freedom.

And finally. Just like snowboarders with hats under helmets. Does it really work at that point?
