Want to make Cochrans feel like Kitzbuhel and the Audi 9s at the same time? Strap on some 44mm wide, edgeless skis, and get after it. The Nordic X race is such a great event.

Snow was funky later in day - what was it close to 55?? With quad down for whatever reasons we poked around and found some good stuff.

Sunday dawned a bit , eh chillier - headed to magic to grab my last day at the home hill. Some like it hard, some like it soft - everyone was happy . I’m just happy to see this sight. Click image for larger version.

You already know that’s not me, but even being mentioned in some comparison to the u23 World Cup winner (8th overall) is good enough. The fact that I was his ski instructor while he was in grade school allows me to take some credit.

Anyone have parking advice for Cog next week? Heading over to ski that, GOS and then Tuckerman with school BC club next week.

I thought we could park at hiking trailhead for free but was told Cog owner charges $10/person for parking at all lots, which is a significant expense for 12 people. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Also, xpost from free gear thread. If someone wants these skis I can meet up in NH, northern mass or VT. 184 length, drilled once. Bases freshly (and significantly) ground.

Park at the national forest lot. You need a WMNF pass $40 a year I think, national park pass, or pay by day like $5.
You can usually ski right from there, it's a little lower than the cog lot.
