I asked this last season already but here we go again. I am looking for a high quality outdoor garment repair place in New England.
The zipper broke on an almost new pricey ultralight Salomon running jacket. They warranty it with store credit so they are all good but I would like to try to get it repaired. The seam is fully taped so I don't want to go to a local garment place. It also a relatively light zipper.
    Happy to mail it.
    Thanks for suggestions
I am checking with rainy pass but their site says zipper replacement starting at $95 which would not be worth it.

Then it's an anorak. And that sucks. I tried it with a safety pin and it's very difficult to get over my head

for a comparison i think replacing the zipper on a ghost whisperer was 50-60cad from these guys. and you get to look at the danseus dropping off and picking up since the snow sucks

hate to disappoint. sometimes composting means just composting.

...and yes it is (and in the alps too). my pow days in late december, and the feeling that winter finally arrived....pffft!
until it returns again. fleetingly or otherwise.

Eastcoast Roll Call TwoTwo/TwoThree A Slow Start to a Big Finish

Well, there’s still hope (if one is to believe in the farmer’s almanac)…

Freezing ‘Cold, Snowy’ Winter Expected For New York State

”Depending on where you live, this will be the best of winters or memorable for all the wrong reasons,” The Old Farmer’s Almanac Editor Janice Stillman reports. “One half of the country will deal with bone-chilling cold and loads of snow, while the other half may feel like winter never really arrives.”

Sadly, if you are hoping for a mild winter, New York isn't where you should be. The Old Farmer’s Almanac predicts the Empire State will see a "cold" and "snowy" winter.

Winter temperatures will be colder than normal across much of the country, including New York State and much of the East Coast, officials predict.

It's laughable to think there is an east coast ski area cartel that has decided not to make snow. Conditions for blowing have blown for most of the season around here. The last few weeks have had inversion conditions a lot of the time and or really high humidity, like this screen grab from the east, the bush has had a warm middle regularly.
The best run of snowmaking was when they got ripcord done before it got rained on, nice piles with edge able snow. Everything since has been Google Mist Way with sticky low output "snow". Due to all of the warm rain/temperatures combo the majority of the trails that have been blown now need to be redone as most of them are far from good.

Low clouds and humidity required putting the goggs up to get some vis, only skied mid to base for two hours with the upper 3/4 so murky I could only see about 2' in front of my tips, max. Braille ski day, at least it was soft and melting.

5/8" of glop in the yard when I headed over today. Slightly better visibility was welcome but steady rain/snow combo, not so much.
1-1 3/4" of damp cotton candy texture new snow tried its best to bond to the old firmer surface. Remembering where yesterdays glide cracks were was helpful during several runs. It was just slightly busier than yesterday, so still dead.

Good size crew pulling hoses in anticipation of blowing some snow. Still just above freezing here and their scheduled on the valley house trails so maybe sometime around 3am?

Surface Whore reminded us that programs start tomorrow, what a shitshow that will be. Was reminded of that when the inconsiderate weekend renters across the street [last 4 years] showed up with their shitty dogs that roam free barking at everything and nothing.
Fo'cast is bleak and my knees don't want to rattle the groomed {there really isn't much left to groom} so its time for a Zwift break.

Snow had melted when I returned from skiing
